Awesome K1 for a great price and excellent customer service!
We just finished building our above pond. It consists of a 350 gallon stock tank, a 20 gallon lined whiskey barrel with spout, and a 55 gallon bio filter running this K1 media. I placed a remote thermometer directly in the filter, sitting on the media, so I can watch the temps from my desk. This is nice media and the price is terrific. It is good quality and it is nice and clean when it arrives. This is my second order of media from this seller. Open your boxes carefully. My first box of media was in a plastic bag packed in the box. The media was not in a bag in this shipment. The boxes were full to the brim of this media, which is great! However, I was VERY careful not to spill any when I was pouring this out. If you drop a bunch of this media in grass or dirt, well you know. Lots of fun to pick it up. Anyway, I am very happy with this product and this seller. They have EXCELLENT customer service too. This is now my go to place for all of my bio media needs.

My pond has never been cleaner
Built a 55 gallon drum filter for my pond and bought the 2cuft of k1 media for it. Now I'm not sure how they measure 2cuft but it feels like much more than that because it got my drum about 40% full and apparently that's normal. The media is great, my pond hasnt been this clear in a long time and it's so much better than my old pressure filter.

This is the Perfect Filter Media
I advise anyone with an aquarium larger than 55 Gallons use this media in fluidized bed. I am using it in a fluidized bed in a section of my sump. I use air disks to continuously tumble the K1 media. This allows it to clean itself of dead bacteria and debris. And the air provides the good bacteria with oxygen and continuous access to water.

Unexpected k1 amount
I was really looking forward to using my k1 after everything Iโve head about it, but unfortunately the amount I got wasnโt really 2 cubic feet one box was too low.
