Great tool for candles. Sometimes candles don't fit odd holders and this tool makes it possible to make a candle secure in any odd sized candle holder

Based on the item photos I expected this to be a two-pack. Maybe I just didn’t read close enough, but probably wouldn’t have paid $7 knowing it was just one. But it does the trick, shaves a candle in the same manner as a pencil sharpener

Works very well! Used to get candle sticks into vintage holder I have. Sharpens smooth.

This didn’t work out for the candles I needed to make smaller at the base. My candles were about 3/4 of an inch in diameter and needed them about 1/2 inch diameter at the base. These may work well for larger diameter candles. I got them trimmed down a bit with this device but then I used my wife’s potato peeler to finish the job of thinning them, lol.

This taper shaver is such a wonderful little tool! I have a pair of antique candlesticks (a Brighton Bun) and modern taper candles are too wide at the base to fit. With this shaver, a couple of turns does the trick. Now I can use full-sized modern taper candles, instead of having to use smaller ones or trim the base by hand with a knife. Truly a 5 star product!

This works so well. I have a lot of vintage candlesticks and I was often having trouble getting candles to fit, but with this tools you can customize your fit! Love it
