Works well, better than at least 1 competitor
This mask has been very effective for my dry eye. This mask and brand was recommended by my eye doctor. My initial assessment was that it was shaped for a larger face, put too much pressure on my nose and the electrical connection in the corner was in the way. BUT having used it for nearly a year, I've gotten used to that. When it broke after nearly a year, I tried a different brand. The other brand was a little more comfortable but with the same electrical connection in the corner that I have become used to. But it never worked as well (uneven heating across the surface, burned out with a terrible smell on day 4, now in the garbage.) I HAVE ORDERED ANOTHER OF THIS TYPE!!! My doctor knew what she was doing when she recommended tis mask!!!

OcuSci Dry eye Compress
Original review : Second one i ordered. First one came without carrying satin bag as advertised and indicated on detail product. I returned it asking for a replacement. Replacement arrived today. 3 days later. Still no carrying satin bag in box. I returned it also. False advertising. Do not buy. Will buy directly from optometrist office where product comes with satin bag as advertised. 2nd review updated : i called the company of this eye compress. They indicated that it does no longer come with satin storage bag any longer. Amazon posted older reviews of customers mentioning storage bag. Description of product needs to be updated to true description of product. Company of product not at fault. Product is good quality. Works well. A bit small though compared to same product from years ago i purchased (with storage bag)

Big improvement over wet washcloth compresses and over other microwave heatable eye compresses!
Big improvement over wet washcloth compresses, this stays warm for about 10 minutes and your eyelids won't get chapped from frequent washcloth treatments. Elastic strap adjusts with velcro to avoid unpleasant pressure on eyes. Cut-out for nose bridge helps keep the heat localized instead of heating up most of your face. The washable cover really distinguishes this compress from other similar treatments for dry eye &/or blepharitis. It makes this compress more usable than most, since you don't have to wait 12 or so hours for a washed compress to dry out--instead you wash just the cover which dries very quickly.

A bit large, but easy to clip excess fabric between eyes. Provides excellent relief.
Excellent for dry eye relief. In the past I've used Tranquileyes / Thermo Eyes products recommended by my ophthalmologist. However, those items are difficult to reset (heat inserts) and get stinky (wet sponges for moisture). In comparison, this dry eye compress is great and easy to use. The mask is too large for my face, but I use a medium binder clip to gather excess material between my eyes. That allows the warm beads to settle over my entire eye area instead of just to the outer edges. Heats quickly in the microwave. I just wish I had a microwave right next to my bed. It takes a couple of days for the compress to dry completely after washing. I bought a second compress so that I can alternate for washing. I've only used for heat but plan to store my spare in the fridge (when it isn't drying after a wash).

Great for relieving dry eye symptoms
I have Sjogrens syndrome which causes me to have dry eyes. When I get a flare up it gets so bad that I can hardly stand the "sand in the eye" feeling I get. Eye drops don't help when it gets really bad. My daughter in law had one of these eye compresses and offered it to me to try. I warmed it up and had immediate relief. It was such a relief and so soothing that I bought one for myself. This compress is the only thing that gives me relief when I have a bad flare up of dry eyes. I use it often even when I'm not having a bad flare up. Just be careful not to heat it to much.Make sure to check how hot it is and follow instructions on the product. I have put it on too hot and left red marks on my face. Not burns just red marks from the heat which quickly go away. I would recommend this product for anyone with dry eyes.

Worth every penny!
I have very dry eyes that have become drier since having cataract surgery. The ophthalmologist recommended taking Omega 3 supplements along with applying a warm, moist compress to my eyes once a day. When I read the reviews on this eye compress, I felt it was worth trying it out. I am so glad I did. It's super easy to heat in the microwave, and the Velcro strap keeps the compress positioned very nicely over my eyes. The warmth and the moisture generated within a 5-minute period really do refresh my tired, dry eyes. So glad I purchased this product!

Works, but doesn't fit me well
The problem I have with the mask is that it is too wide for my face. I must use a clothespin to cinch up the extra fabric in the middle--otherwise the contents of the mask drag the mask down too far outside my eyes for it to work! The mask is likely to fit a larger head well, but not this petite woman. This mask will stay warm for about 10 minutes and seems to be slowly helping my dry eye issue caused by Meibomian Gland Dysfunction. I cut the velcro straps off because they seemed unnecessary and got in the way.

Good quality and helps dry eyes
My ophthalmologist recommended this type of eye compress in the treatment of dry eyes. When I found this eye compress, I was happy to find that it is made in the United States and that it has a removable. washable cover and storage bag, keeping the compress clean. After a long day of wearing contacts, this is a soothing way to moisten eyes and drain closed tear ducts. I was suffering from repeated chalazion and after using this hot compress on a regular basis, it helped me heal and get relief.

Much improved design, comfortable fit. I purchased this same compress some years ago - it worked really well but the machine-washable cover didn't fit that well and it was a pain to put back on. I saw the pictures of the new cover and they looked completely different, so I bought a new one. I'm happy to say it now has a zipper (not velcro), so it's easy to put on and take off, and the fit is much better. Really nice product, soothing heat for the eyes.

A good eye mask for relaxation or meibomian gland problems. I regularly got chalazions, which would come and go until one persisted and built a granuloma which needed operation. My surgeon recommend that I get a hot compress mask and, not wanting to go through surgery again, I settled on this. It has been about 4 weeks and I've not had any recurrence, which is very promising. In fact, once I've worn this mask for a few minutes, my vision is clouded by the released oils - it's really something! A 20-30 sec zap in the microwave provides enough heat for about 10-20 mins use. The heat is moist but not wet. The beads used are clearly very similar to (or identical to) those used in "rechargeable" moisture absorbers that you put into the microwave to "release" the moisture. The heating process is directly connected to the fact that microwaves excite water molecules. Therefore, it stands to reason that A. You should keep your eye mask in a slightly humid environment and B. Your heat mask will get hotter if it has absorbed more moisture. I keep mine on my bedside table and it's doing just fine. However, it won't work if you put it in the oven or try to heat it in another manner. The headband is elastic with a large Velcro strip for adjusting size. There are lots of beads in the eye mask - I wouldn't be able to sleep with it on because of the size, but some might, especially as it is very relaxing when on. It is, however, not opaque, so some light can seep through to the eye. The mask comes with a small bag and instructions for use and maintenance. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend.

This is a must for anyone who is dealing with chronic problem eyes. It is very easy to use and makes your eyes feel rested and soothed. It is a damp heat and stays warm for just the right amount of time. Easier than standing at the sink with a cloth and constantly trying to heat it up with hot water. Just pop it in the microwave and go lay down with it on your eyes. Feels awesome.

Very comfortable and very easy to use. I randomly get styes on my eyelids, the doctor recommended doing hot compresses but with hot water and a towel, water tends to get every where. With this, you pop it into the microwave for 20 seconds and you're good to go! The styes on my eyes have never gone away so fast. I highly recommend for anyone with the same problem.
