The best stainless steel cookware made.

Beautiful pan and heats evenly. This was my first purchase of All-Clad D-3 and I only purchased one piece so I could try it. This is the cookware recommended by America’s Test Kitchen and I can definitely see why. I love the piece for the construction and I believe it will last a lifetime. However it is quite a bit heavier even when empty than my previous stainless steel cookware which only had the aluminum encapsulated disk on the bottom. That fact may deter me from purchasing more to replace my existing pieces which are perfectly fine. If I were younger I would do it in a heartbeat and highly recommend this cookware.

I don't buy pan sets. I buy what I KNOW I will use. This little guy works for soup, primarily the dashi for udon noodles and tomato sauce for pizza. Perfect for two. My preference is stainless for acidic foods and cast iron for the rest. All-clad has been one of the kitchen standards for me for years and has never failed. Easy to clean with Barkeeper's Friend or just a long soak. It isn't suited for everything, nothing is. Some complain of the weight, well, that's thermal mass that is needed for heat distribution. Some don't like the long handles, well, that's called not needing an oven mitt to prevent burns. If I can stir a pan of bubbling risotto for 45-50 minutes without the threat of burns from the handle over an open flame, I call that good.

I love All Clad and the stainless products are made in the USA. It is a HEAVY pan, and compared to my other 3 QT Farberware, it really shows the quality difference (though I really like the Farberware one too). The handle is a bit awkward like the other reviews said. It's quite long and the angle feels sort of strange, and washing it does take a bit of getting used to. If this wasn't on sale for $120, I'd probably be more upset or picky about it. But given that I feel it's cooking quality and safety is just top of the line, I can let that slide and still give it 5 stars. The width is also great and feels like it cooks evenly. The lid is nice and heavy, but it does get HOT so be careful and use a potholder. Overall, I'd buy again but a smaller size due to the weight -or get one that has a helper handle on the other side.

Very nice product

The saucepan does what it is supposed to do. It does it better than other saucepans. If you treat it kindly (not gently, just not abusively), it will reward you by doing the same thing every time you use it. There are no surprises. It cleans the way I expect; it heats the way I expect; it handles the way I expect. You don't want surprises in an active kitchen. Some people don't like this or that. If I had 3x the $, I'd opt for another model, but for most of us this is beyond top notch.

I’m loving the easy non stick function of it once I get used to it. Just don’t like the appearance after washing it. Had to buy bar keepers friend to remove stains but so far only used baking soda and it works wonders!

Always been a "cheap" pan buyer, even though I love cooking and do it a lot. Needed a new sauce pan and decided it was time to try a higher end pan. America's test kitchen recommended the all-clad and I love that show so decided to give it a try. Out of the box I was impressed by just how beautiful this pan is. Yea I know, "beautiful?" how the heck can it be "beautiful" but the way that stainless steel shines under the lights just impressed the heck out of me. I did a boil test/break in to test it, I have a gas stove (no induction) and I swear it came up to boil quicker than any pan I have ever owned. Haven't done a ton of cooking with it as of yet but for everything I've used it for I have been extremely happy with it's performance. Wish I didn't wait so long to finally try a more expensive pan but I think it's worth every penny now that I have it.

Best medium saucepan I ever bought. 3 ply solid and very well made. easy to clean and a joy to cook with. I will be handing these down to our kids, and they will in turn hand them down to theirs. Don't skimp and keep buying stuff you will throw out every few years and instead pay a bit more and buy this pan and/or set of D3 like we did and you will have a lifetime of great enjoyable cooking. We bought the D3 set but wanted another medium pan so bought this. very happy.

Excellent product, highly recommend. Very good on my induction stove. Heat up really quickly and are excellent for “waterless” cooking.

Perfect size for cooking instant noodles, heats evenly and will last a life time.
