What caused the strap to break?

The strap wasn’t affixed tight enough. After only a couple of times carrying the purse one strap ripped out. It needed to be sewn tighter. Or maybe the purse was cheaply made.

Are there any pockets inside?

There is only one zippered pocket in the middle of the purse.
