This solved the old problem of leaving the sliding door cracked open for the cats. It is very rugged and well-made. Very easy to install. Flap works perfectly to close the small opening off at night. It has greatly helped our summer cooling bill. I found that inserting thin, pressure sensitive weatherstripping between this unit and the glass door, easily made it air tight. And for extra security, I also installed a SECURITYMAN Child Proof Sliding Glass Door Bar with Anti Lift Lock (Around $25 from Amazon). The cats love. We love it.

I can say enough positive things about this product. It is excellent quality. Was a bit of a tight fit on my door but once I got it in place it is perfect. I installed it on the track with the screen. Pictured with the glass door partially open and with the door closed inside. My Yorkie is a little intimidated by it will get used to in in no time. Highly recommend for anyone with a balcony or secured space where your dog can access.

WONDERFUL! WORTH THE MONEY! Got this for an elderly dog who couldn't hold his bladder for more then a couple of hours. But worried about our house security if we left the sliding door cracked open when we were at work. Totally secure. Can still use the door ourselves to go in and out. Looks great, seems stable. We will be putting extra weather stripping around so we can keep heat and air conditioning inside. Wish we knew about this door years ago! No more big messes to clean up after work!

This is a very well made door! Definitely worth the money. I live in an apartment with a sliding glass patio door and this made my life so much easier as far as keeping my dog happy while I'm at work. The door is sturdy and easy to use. It came with instructions but I did look up step by step instructions on YouTube and was able to install the door correctly. It is definitely energy efficient. The sliding glass door I installed it in was not energy efficient but I was able to fix that with insulation tape. This door is very well made and can make your life with your pet much easier!
