I have the same one at home and it worked very well. Thus, I bought this new one for personal use at the office use. However, it doesn't maintain high temperature well. Water turn to about 40 degree within. The exterior looks stylish and an a good piece in the kitchen or office.

Good size to keep next to bed side table so warm drink is ready first thing in the morning. It's light and quite good looking

This is our second Zojirushi carafe and I highly recommend it! There is nothing wrong performance-wise with our first one but we are replacing it because it is starting to look a little beat up after using it for 20-25 years! I can't remember for sure when we bought it, it's been so long The case on that one is metal so it now has a few dings in it and is going rusty in spots around the bottom edge. This is in no way a criticism! We have used it a LOT and loved it. I just wanted a new one so that it would look better when I serve company. The old one is now being used in our fifth wheel. It still keeps coffee as hot as it did when new. The new black one with checkered design is lovely and we use it every day. You can't go wrong with this carafe!
