Very good for the price
So, I could buy one of these sets at the orange big box store, or get four for the same price right here. Easy decision. I ran over the heavy duty 100 foot hose with the riding mower. I wasn't ready to toss the hose as this is the first season I'm using it. This repair connector kit is what I needed. The quality is ok. Not top of the line, but does the job, and again, the price is right. The clamps are sub-par. Don't think you're going to make it work just using your flathead screwdriver - not happening. Maybe if you have a thin low duty hose the screwdriver will work. However, medium or heavy duty, just go straight for the ratchet. Get out your ratchet set and pull out the 7mm socket - this is what you'll need. The clamp on the male side was ok. However, on the female side, before I could get it tight enough, the clamp stripped. Maybe my heavy duty hose was too much for it to handle? I have better clamps in my tool chest, so I used one of those on the female side, and everything is working fine now - no leaks under full pressure. It got the job done, and saved me the cost of the hose. Good quality hoses are quite expensive these days, so these connectors are a good solution to get more life out of your damaged hose.

The brass is good quality but not the hose clamps
The brass itself is a very good quality however the hose clamps are completely useless as they do not tighten up enough to keep the water from spewing out they strip internally very quick

Excellent quality and Price
I’ve tried several water hose repair products. This seems to work for me the best and the price was excellent for the quality.

O ring hose clamp style are not quite as secure as dual screw half clamp style
These Hourleey Garden Hose Repair Connector with Clamps are not quite as secure as the dual screw half shell style, but they still work good. I do like that these are smaller and less conspicuous, so they camouflage into the lawn better than the other style (see right one in picture). They included everything (besides tools) needed and they feel well made. Once attached properly they screw on and off accessories easily and work for numerous different applications. With everything included in this pack for $9 it provides a lot of utility and value. Installation was easy with a both brand new hose as well as an old worn one. I combined some hose ends, a couple of 100 foot hoses, and some Orbit H2O Six setting sprinkler heads for a low cost, above ground system that waters each separate lawn all at once. I just turn one on, and then the other, almost like a 2 zone sprinkler system.

Buy quality hose clamps before installation
Step 1 open the box, step 2 take out the hose clamps and throw them over your shoulder buy quality ones !! these are trash, had 3 of them strip the band even before tight and then the other are tight but still leak I am on a well my max h20 pressure is only 60 psi couldn’t imagine on 100 psi rural/city water system the actual male/female connectors are great just the clips are trash need to sell the set little cheaper without the worthless hose clamps
