Yes, I use it for my lower back pain during my period. Leaning back onto will help add pressure exactly where you need it .

Will it lay flat in a vertical position for down the middle of my back?

This item has a slight curve. I think it could help you but you’ll need make sure to hold it in place if the belt can’t wrap around the alternate area that you’re wanting to use it on. It works really well for what it’s intended for. Although, I’ve actually used it for alternate areas & it’s worked for me. Hope that helps you make your decision.

i tried to use the heat pad, the vibrating portion works but when i try to use the heating part it flashes all 6 lights 3 times n then turns off?

I’d say if it came with a manual then check their since usually that’s a code for something either an issue or something else. And if anything contact the seller or Amazon to help resolve the issue either by a refund for defective product .

Can you travel with it on an air plain?
