We did this as a family and really enjoyed it. It was just the right amount of challenge!

2nd one of these Cryptic Killer games we have played at it was just as good as the first! It is a great game to sit and really get into as it feels fully immersive. The game took us about 2 hours to complete and was a great way to pass the night instead of watching TV. The first one we ever recieved was a gift and it has definitely got us hooked. It is so well put together and intricate in its details.

Good fun and value for money. My husband and I completed the mystery in just over 2 hours. Very well thought out and great for an evening in. Looking forward to testing ourselves with another one!

My partner and I are new to this sort of mystery game. We took this one on holiday and found it to be a great activity and a fun way to spend an evening. The writing and production quality are good, it felt like we got something that's had care and attention put into its creation, so pretty good value for money there. A couple of the points used to eliminate suspects were a little more of a leap than I'd like which is the only minor criticism I'd throw at it, but we were able to check we weren't missing a trick on the hints website before we submitted our answer. The hints site itself does a good job of giving several hints per investigation thread, from vague pointers through to detailed instructions so will likely do a good job of keeping players on track without immediately spoiling a whole thread. This worked well for two people, I can see it also being good for solo play or up to maybe four players; any more than that and you may want to look for something a little more structured as there's no concrete division of labour with this style of game in which you simply pick up any piece of evidence and take whatever approach you see fit to connect the dots. They mark this one as 3/5 difficulty and I'd say that's about right, you can expect it to take somewhere in the 2-4 hour range to complete. This mystery isn't replayable but one thing I like about this package is that there's no destruction or modification of the materials required; they provide suspect note sheets but so long as you have pens and scrap paper for taking your own notes you can complete the entire thing without leaving a mark, meaning you can sell it on or pass it to a friend for them to enjoy. If you're curious about this style of game then I'd say it's a good one to start with, so long as you're playing in a small group, have space to spread out a bunch of evidence, and have at least one phone or computer you can use to access some internet resources which are a necessary part of the solution.

The detail and time that was put into this was fantastic! as a huge fan of anything murder mystery i cannot wait to buy a different one. The complexity was just enough for us to not need the hints until the end and that was just to go over what we had already discovered to ensure we weren't missing anything. we completed it in around 4hrs and thats because were very precise and double checked everything.

Great fun! Took me longer than 2 hours but thoroughly enjoyed it! Lots of tips and clues to help when you get stuck, without giving it all away! Great date night in

We had a great time doing this. We spent a couple of hours on it going through all the documents which are really well prepared. Great fun, highly recommend.

We really enjoy these crime solving games and this one was high quality. First one tried from this brand and found it a little bit ambiguous compared to some others but it was very enjoyable.
