I have always like the fact that Merino wool does not collect odors and stays warm even when it is damp, but these are also incredibly soft and comfortable. I'm ordering another pair. Update: Having worn these for a couple seasons now (and compared with similar products), I have a couple more observations. 1. These are incredibly warm for the weight. I have a pair of heavy weight (400 GSM) from another manufacturer that are not any warmer in spite of weighing substantially more. If you are concerned about weight, these MERIWOOL are for you. 2. They have been exceptionally odor resistant. I have worn the same pair (mid-weight Top and Pants) for a full week while hiking and still they did not smell bad. My Under Armour, while costing about 1/2 as much, stank after just 1 day and I have not been able to wash the stink away. 3. Order slightly larger than you think you need. Wash them once in hot water, dry on hot, they will shrink slightly (not a huge amount, but a little) then will not shrink again. Finally, STORE THESE SOMEWHERE SAFE FROM MOTHS... They love this fabric and will eat holes in it while you are not looking. I had to learn this the hard way. Learn from my experience.
