Does this tape have a backing to peel off?

No it doesn’t. This is the best tape!!

I want to use this for a physical therapy tool and need the tape to stick to itself. Does anyone know if it sticks to itself?

This tape will stick to itself. It's pores allows skin to breath keeping bacteria out. It's like a second skin feels very soothing with it's flex ability better than a band aid! You can layer it. Hold taunt to cut.

Can I use an inkjet printer to print a design on it?

I don't think so because it is a sticky cloth. There is no backing on the sticky side. It would get stuck in the printer.
