Prior to connecting at busy times I was experiencing video quality as low as 144p with YouTube videos buffering and terrible Netfix connection. On connecting the Poynting XPOL-A0001 and going to my router settings by going to 192.168.8.1 on my Huawei 595 router and then turning on the aerial connection plus also selecting 5GHz connection I now how HD 1080p quality viewing. You have to have a good signal to start with otherwise this device won't improve a bad signal, but, if you already have 5 bars on your router but at busy times your speeds drop then this is the aerial that will drastically improve your quality of viewing and stop the buffering and give you upto 1080p quality viewing. I used the suction cups and positioned the aerial from my conservatory outside window. The length of aerial cable would allow me to position the aerial higher like from my bathroom window upstairs but I had no need to go higher. Great device which has worked for me.

I was a bit skeptical about how effective this 4G antenna/aerial would be in boosting a 4G signal. I'm living in central Dublin (Ireland) and due to the mast location/local architecture the 4G signal strength I'm receiving isn't the best, when measured on my phone. I typically get a signal reception of between -94 and -99 dbm according to the NetworkCellInfoLite Android app and the native utilities on my Samsung A70 phone. Despite this, I thought I'd give 4G mobile broadband a go and purchased a D-Link DWR-921 4G Router as a daily deal on Amazon for roughly half-price. When it arrived and I tried it, as I feared the 4G reception and corresponding "Broadband" download speed wasn't the best , When I turned off mobile data on the phone and connected instead to the 4G router WiFi signal, I was getting download speeds of approx 29 Mbps according to Fast.com, and 27.3 Mbps using the Ookla Android app. Before returning the router, I read a number of Amazon reviews for this Poynting 4G antenna - and to be fair there were reports of mixed results from people who had tried it (good to terrible results - some said it made their broadband speed slower!) But one reviewer had the same D-Link router model that I'd purchased and confirmed that a) its connectable to that router and b) it had improved their download speeds. So I decided to bite the bullet and managed to get the antenna as an Amazon warehouse deal for about 20 Euros off the list price (the unit was practically new/just box opened). I did a baseline speed test with the D-Link Router's supplied aerials and got the results outlined above (27-29 Mbps). I switched the router off, unscrewed D-Link router aerials, screwed in the leads from the Poynting XPOL-A0001 antenna to the aerial terminals on the router and powered it up again. The effect of the new aerial was immediately noticeable - the Broadband speed test on fast.com increased from a download speed of 29 Mbps up to 58 Mbps with the Poynting antenna attached. Similarly, the download speed measured by the Ookla app went up from 27.3Mbps to 62.5 Mbps. So 4G download speeds were pretty much doubled when the new aerial was attached to the router. These speed tests were conducted within 5 mins of each other, so should be reasonably comparable (e.g atmospherics, network congestion etc. were unlikely to have changed significantly in that time-frame), so I'm ascribing the improvement in broadband performance to the new aerial. It should be noted that the upload speeds also increased, but only marginally (from 25.1 Mbps to 28.2 Mbps), but for most use-cases its download speed that counts. I would recommend this product if your 4G signal is weak (especially if you're in an urban area as I am, with poor line of sight to the 4G network mast, or at the edge of its range). I tested this using a 3 Network Sim only prepay package (30Gb for 30 days for 30 Euros). Now that I know I can get a decent 4G Broadband signal, I'll probably get a SIM only broadband package. Three Ireland are currently doing one with a 750 Gb monthly data allowance for 30 Euros a month on a 24 month contract). If you think this aerial might improve your 4G broadband reception, just make sure the 4G router you have can accept/interface with an external antenna - apparently not all models can.

20 Mb in download e 10 Mb in upload, piuttosto stabili.
