Is it supposed to smell rancid?

No. Emu oil does not have much of a smell at all. I use Leven Rose Emu Oil. I love it. I have been using it for years. And it has never been rancid. It does not say fully refined on it. But it is organic, pure, natural & fast absorbing.

Why is the product only "registered" organic and not certified organic? what is the difference? There is no mark of a certifying body...

This oil is registered as organic with the State of California Department of Public Health Food and Drug Branch. The registration number is 98389. We can provide certificate upon request.

Is this mix or diluted with other ingredients?

The label on Pro-Emu Aea Certified EMU Oil, 4 oz., says: AEA Certified Emu Oil. Contains 0.075% Natuaral Vit. E for product freshness.

Is it supposed to be this thick? It is congealed in my bottled and can hardly use the dropper and it completely clogs the pump.

Close the bottle tightly and shake vigorously....it may have settled or gotten chilled. It should be even consistency but fairly thick.
