I can't tell you how much I love this nutritional yeast (brewer's yeast). This particular brand has no garbage added (most brands include toxic additives !). Since I started taking it, to be totally honest, I've had a whole lot more energy and have been in a great mood. It seems that I am actually GETTING the B vitamins from it. In all these years, I have never noticed anything good happen when I took synthetic B vitamins, no matter which form or which brand; in fact, a lot of them actually caused me to have internal inflammation and pain and even to be bedridden with weakness if I took too much of them. That just proves the point (that I've read in many places) that synthetic vitamins are usually toxic, for a variety of reasons.) Also, it's a complete protein and it has a lot of protein in it. Who knew ! So I've been scarfing down this brewer's yeast, and actually noticing a HUGE difference in the way I feel, with NO bad effects. No digestion problems, either (I am not stinking up the room, ha ! -- if that happens to you, just start with a teaspoon and work your way up). I also like the taste of it. (Probably some folks won't like it -- but I do.) I just stir it into a little water and drink it, but sometimes I eat it dry -- it's kind of like eating peanut butter (sticks to your mouth !). I've been doing the daily dose of 3 tablespoons with breakfast, and recently I started adding another tablespoon in the afternoon, and one near bedtime. I've been having better dreams, too. By the way, I remember that my mom used to take this stuff when she was pregnant with my kid brother; it got rid of her morning sickness.

LACTATION - ENERGY - PROTEIN I’ve been using this powder mainly for lactation. I can honestly say that it works and helps me produce more! It has many health benefits, it’s packed with B vitamins, protein, it boost energy levels and promotes muscle development so it helps with muscle recovery after workouts. It does have a natural taste so I prefer to mix it in with other dietary powders but it is easy to get down on its own.

I love this brewers yeast! I’ve been consuming it since I was younger. It’s hard to find, but was happy to find it here!! I put it on my popcorn and top of my plain Greek yogurt. I was disappointed that they don’t have a larger size. I used to get it from a local health food store in a 24oz package but this will do for a treat every now and then. I use it for the flavor.

I am so happy to have found so many B vitamins in a whole food in their natural form, in significant amounts, BALANCED, with NOTHING synthetic added! Please keep it that way! It is SO HARD to find, and I especially wanted the NATURAL form of folate, NOT synthetic folic acid , which is so hard to get away from, and which many people cannot take! (Possibly including me!) And I did NOT want the tinkered-with folic acid. Thank-you! That said, the taste is also outstanding, and it is so satisfying I have come to crave it. I also seem to feel more energetic since using it. I will say, however, the first time I used it, it was a taste I wasn't used to. But the second time, I was already used to it, and I quickly learned how to add it to soups, stews, or beans, adding additional spices where needed. It is also high in protein and fiber, areas where I really need the help! Great product, but please don't raise the price. The price is a little steep, but so far I can swing it. But it could become unaffordable if the price started creeping up.

Lewis Labs has the best Brewer’s Yeast (not fortified) - been using it for decades. Only complaint is on the last order, it was supposed to come by Nov. 6-7 but now got delayed by over a week until the 14th. And it’s already been 2 weeks since ordered. However, this is the first time this has happened - hoping it was just due to shipping delays caused by the shutdown and doesn’t become a normal wait time. I’m out of product now so next time will order it in advance of using up all of my favorite yeast. :)

Initially, I bought these Brewer's Yeast Flakes to try out a dog treat recipe and they turned out to be absolutely perfect for that. I tasted these flakes pure from a spoon and loved the flavor but of course without liquid straight from the spoon is a bit dry. I have already reordered the product because I have used it so much that I emptied the tub quite fast. I have always liked the taste of brewer's yeast and besides for batches of special treats for my furry kids, which we eat, too btw, I use these flakes in yogurt, sprinkled over foods, and in liquids/beverages. There is no doubt in my mind that over time one will see the positive effects of brewer's yeast in their hair and skin. Of course, as with all products - natural or chemical - people have different results over different time frames. I don't expect miracles but know the effect of b.y. from previous years of taking it in pill form. I know that the second order will not be my last one if the quality is persistent. Update 22 Dec 2017: I have been making the dog treats with this brewer's yeast and coconut oil now for a while (see photo) and they always turn out fantastic. My husband and I still eat them too, because other than I make them into shapes for pets, I would use a different mold for us humans...but why bother. I can still highly recommend this product, especially since it is non-GMO!

Update: April 24, 2026 I reached out to the company and they sent me a brand new one. Their customer service was prompt and I am happy with my purchase. Received this item today. Came with plastic wrapping on lid— it appears to be sealed. That wasn’t the case. The container was halfway sealed and already opened. To make matters worse, it wasn’t full! I paid big bucks for this! Not a happy customer at all. First time customer with this brand.

Very good unadulterated nutritional yeast. No added synthetic nutrients. Easy to digest
