Are the applicators plastic?

Yes, the applicators are plastic. They have a bit of flanged edge so that they're easier to grip than just a straight plunger shaft as most have be they cardboard or plastic. For an active lifestyle, including swimming, horseback riding, kayaking and hiking, I've not found a better source of feminine protection.

How do i know if it’s expired? it’s my first time and i didn’t want my mom to know so i just put them in a bag without checking the box?

I have never checked tampons to see if they’re expired. I’m not sure if they have an expiration date. In my experience it doesn’t make a difference; I’ve used ones I found in a bag that I hadn’t gone through in several years and it was fine.

Are the applicators and wrappers flushable? Has anyone successfully flushed them down the toilet?

Please don’t flush the plastic applicators and wrappers. They will ruin plumbing and damage the waste water treatment facility. Wrap them in toilet paper and throw in the trash.
