MK Metalclad Plus K2946 ALM 13 amp 2-Gang Double-Pole Switch Socket, White

For me this was a perfect purchase. Although I saw a lot of verified-purchase reviews on product Amazon page complaining, I ordered regardless because a backbox wasn't crucial in my application. The delivery arrived quickly and packed in bubblewrap well, with the sealed MK stock item inside. Therefore I was pleasantly surprised, and this represented even better value than offerings elsewhere for the same part#.

MK are still top of the line in my books, and this Metalclad Plus two gang 13A socket is no exception. I bought it to replace a similar single gang socket from another brand that broke apart, and wanted to install something of exceptional build quality. As well as being of solid construction, it's also built with the electrician in mind, with backed-out screws and angled terminals in a row. No messing about trying to get the cpc in the bottom corner with screws facing all different directions. For the avoidance of doubt, the item I purchased came with the back box as standard.

Use this in my porch to power outdoor appliances and its typical MK, good quality.
