Huge Pile of Dryer Lint ++
This kit was absolutely worth the purchase. I needed about 30 feet of rods along with the brush to reach my dryer vent from the outside, and it handled the job with no problem. I was genuinely surprised by how much lint had built up inside the duct over time. Before cleaning, our dryer had been taking multiple cycles to fully dry clothes, and the airflow from the exterior vent was noticeably weaker than it used to be. After disconnecting the dryer, I used a drill with the brush and rods to carefully work through the duct. Every couple of feet, I used an electric leaf blower shoved into the duct from inside the house to push out the loosened lint. Repeating this process several times cleared out a significant amount of buildup, and by the end, the brush made it all the way through. Once everything was reconnected, the improvement was immediate. The airflow outside increased dramatically, and the dryer is working much more efficiently again. The rods and brush held up very well through the whole process and still look almost new. I did need pliers to separate the rods afterward because of the drill’s torque, but it was easy to manage and didn’t affect their condition at all. Overall, a very effective and well-made kit that delivered excellent results. Highly recommended.

Money very well spent. Easy and effective.
Works great! We used this to clean out ducting on a rental dryer vent that was full of stuff. This tool got out a TON of lint. It's easier with 2 people, one to run the drill and the other feeding in the line in and vacuuming at the duct opening as the brush and lint get pulled out. We went through multiple times and feel we got it really clean. This is a fabulous tool. We didn't use all of the added parts, just the brush and line. There's potential to make one mistake - DO NOT go in reverse, it will unscrew itself and you'll have a brush stuck in your venting. Always forward, even when pulling it out. It was easy to use and can be stored until it's needed again. We have paid much more than this for duct cleaning in the past. Money well spent. Highly recommend.

More components than you need but the main feature is great!
This item is not made of the highest quality materials. For the price point that shouldn't be a surprise. That said it does a wonderful job of cleaning dryer duct vents and lines. There is no complaint about its functionality. Negatives: cheap gloves, thin plastic bags, dryer vent cleaning brush the hooks and the instructions are minimal at best. Positives: rods, rod brush head, the part that you attach to the vent for your drill, the blue hose that attaches to a vacuum cleaner for clean the vent trap in your dryer, the bag for the rods, and yes, even the laundry bag which makes a great storage bag for the various pieces. Do's and don'ts: Do use the black tape that comes with it and wrap it around each section where the rods join together. This will help prevent the rods from coming lose in the dryer duct work. While they tighten perfectly, they will come lose if you do not rotate the brush head as instructed. The black tape comes off easily for storage purposes. Would we recommend this product? My husband would give a clear resounding yes!

Does what you need it to do. Very well made and so many additional parts to meet your needs
More than enough supplies to clean the dryer vents. I am so impressed with all the extras included in this pack. The scrubbing brush with its many extensions reaches as far as you need inside the dryer and up the vent. Works great. I didn’t use the drill attachment because I wanted full control. The extension rods are stable and hold together. Remember to turn it to the right always-turning it to the left could loosen the screw on attachment. The blue rubber piece that attaches to the vacuum is stable enough so that you’ve got control of where it’s reaching. Good for cleaning the bottom of bird cage as well. Really impressed and would highly recommend.

Lifesaver...did it's job and got rid of a horrible potential fire hazard!
I bought this kit after we purchased a 3.5 YO house: My wife was trying out the dryer soon after we moved in and said that she couldn't get the filter screen into its slot. I pulled out a flashlight and looked down the slot and it was completely clogged with lint. I tried a few things; however, the lint was literally packed down so hard that it was hard to move. In came Amazon and fast delivery! The first tool I used was the little grabber. Slowly, I was able to use is to break up the lint and kept pulling chunks and chunks of impacted lint out until it was mostly clear. It worked perfectly and was able to flex and bend around the structure of the lint catch area. It had perfect reach to get where it was needed. It was literally like pulling apart stiff cotton; however, with patience, I got it to the point where I could bring in the vacuum. We had just moved in, so the only vac I could find was a small shop vac (still haven't found the box with the other vacuum!). I used the vacuum attachment, which fit easily over the top of the hose end of the shop vac, and finished clearing out the screen slot. Next, I pulled the dryer out from the wall. The entire area behind the wall was covered in lint. I cleaned that area out (I recommend using a mask if you have one), then disconnected the 'hose' on the back of the dryer. I first took one of the adapter pieces and put it over the hose pipe, then was able to vac out the inside of the pipe channel with the same shop vac. Again, massive amounts of lint. I used the round pipe brush and was able to clean out the vent hose (cough, cough): do this outside if you can! Now that I had the dryer out, I took the pipe brush and flexible rods that came with the kit, and ran it into the vent. WOW, it pulled out piles and piles of lint. It was dirty work; however, working slowly, I added one rod after another (get them real tight so you don't lose one) brushing in and pulling out each time I added one, until I hit some kind of stoppage. The instructions recommend not forcing it and, after brushing out what I could going back and forth, it was coming out without dumping lint. I then used the adapter on the vent pipe and attached the vacuum to that, and ran the vac for several minutes. At first I got more lint; however, it eventually stopped. I felt comfortable that I had gotten most all of the lint and, especially, had prevented a possible fire that could have burned the entire house down. This kit came with other tools, like a special brush to put down into the lint filter slot, etc. It also said that you could attach a drill to the flexible rods to spin it for "better cleaning" of the vent tubing. I passed on that worried I might cause damage inside the main pipe (or it may fly apart if you spin it too fast) as I had a pretty long run... I'll leave that for you to decide. Negatives? Really, the only thing I had to 'adapt' for use was one of the adapters for the piping. It didn't quite fit so I had to tape seal it to maintain suction. Doesn't change my 5 star and, for a universal kit, this worked perfectly. I shall be using this annually to keep the system clean. Great for piece of mind and you don't have to hire someone and pay $150 - $200 and who knows how much extra I would have had to have paid with all of the impaction and mess. Note that the photos attached just show the impacted lint in the filter slot, the last of the lint coming out of the vent pipe, and the bag of lint from the original work pulling out impacted lint. The rest was vacuumed up and out and we didn't want to open the very full bags of the rest of the lint. I highly recommended this kit!

Great all-in-one dryer vent cleaning kit.
Comes with plenty of attachments and tools, making it easy to reach deep into the vent. Works really well and helped remove a lot of lint buildup. The flexible rods and brushes are sturdy and easy to use. Overall, very useful and worth it for regular maintenance.

AWESOME
Worked as stated. The rods fit together great and came apart easily upon completion, except the last two rods and drill bit; which I used a pliers and the drill on reverse to disconnect. I did use both the regular vacuum and lawn blower to clean out the duct work as I could not see from beginning to end. My duct runs approximately 20 feet. Goes down then curves from the inside. From the outside it has a crazy curve where the beginning of the ductwork was the flex and was very tight due to the curve. I had to gradually add and feed in more rods otherwise the rods would go in circles without feeding into the duct. Used a Ryobi battery hand drill -- worked best at slow to medium speed -- I did not use the fastest speed. The tape on the rods were easy to get off and the rods were very flexible. The black tape was great to use if any of the vacuum parts felt loose . My dryer is definitely drying quicker. With this long connection it would have been easier/quicker if there were two people. I am an older female who doesn't mind labor to save money.

Might work for you
The nylon rods seemed flimsy and was worried they would snap. The rods and brush did a decent job cleaning out the flexible duct that was attached to my dryer. I then tried to clean the main duct from inside my house. My duct has a U shaped bend at the beginning. I could not get the brush through that bend after many attempts. I then tried to go outside and try there. There I have two bends almost like an S. After going back and forth and slowly pushing through I was able to get through. The rods would twist up even though I was going slow and I thought they were going to snap but didn't. I only had 6 feet to get through and it took a while since it kept getting hung up (a lot of pulling it all the way back out to clean out the blockage and going back in). Got most of it done except for the U bend which made me worry that I pushed everything to the bend since I couldn't go all the way through so I used a blower to make sure air got through. This may not work for you if you don't have many twists and a long length. After using the rods the connections were very tight and I had to use Channer locks to separate them. The blue hose did a good job helping to clean out the dryer lint trap. The adapter for the vacuum didn't fit (too big) so I held it in place with tape. The brushes were ok. The hose connection for accessories was missing and I didn't use the other items. This worked ok and I did get a lot of lint out, but if this breaks in the vent I'm going to have an issue and I wish I could have gotten this all the way through the entire vent.

Pretty decent quality for the price point.
First off, I was very impressed by the amount of items provided in this kit. There are a few items that I will not use, like the gloves and garbage bags. They were cheap quality and I prefer to use what I already own. That being said, definitely wear a pair of gloves while feeding the snake into the dryer vent with your drill. You may encure friction burns. The adapter that attaches to the dryer vent that accepts the shop vac and fishing tool fit perfectly for me. I used my old ridged shop vac with a large hose, but the kit came with multiple adapters so you can use most vacuums. The tape provided was flexible and sticky and worked very well to hold the adapter into the dryer vent hole. Please note, that you will probably need to remove the dryer vent cover on the outside of your house so that it will accept the adapter and seal up properly. Be careful not to add to many pieces of the fishing rod tool at one time. They can get twisted up which will wreck them. I ended up only adding 2 at a time while feeding them into the vent. Any more then that, it is hard to control and feed that many lose rod's, and the drill by yourself. You may need a pair of pliers or 2 to get them apart after you are done. My dryer vents at the front of the house and the dryer is near the back of my house. So probably around 25 feet or so. The kit comes with a lot more rod's then I required. So that was good. As a bonus, you can use the rod's for fishing wires behind walls or ceiling as well!!! There is a cool adapter that comes with the kit, that let's you shove any smaller vacuum nozzle into it and adapts to a 3'ish precision hose for getting into cracks and crevices and it's quite flexible. I will be using that with my Milwaukee M18 vacuum to extend the hose, and get into tighter spaces. Please don't expect this kit to be super high quality and think that you can startup a dryer vent cleaning business. Lol But for the DIYer, the kit is perfect and I would expect you will be able to get a lot of years out of it, if you take it easy. Would recommend, and would buy the kit again.

Very complete kit
It has a great long extension. If you need to use it full length it will find its way better with a power screw driver than trying to push it. IF you have the flimsy air duct behind the dryer, do not use the power screw driver to that point because it will tear it down. You can use the brush but just by hand. Those flimsy air ducts I would recommend to discard and buy a metal one ( there are flexible ones). The best is a solid pipe with no ripples. Those ripples is where the lint wants to hide. The closer is the accumulated lint to the dryer the more potential for a bad situation...Fire? Rare but has happened. A good idea is to run the dryer in the cold setting after brushing the pipes for 30 seconds. More stuff will come out. The blue hose is usefull for cleaning under the dryer filter. Some dryer brands have very little lint. Others have way too much. I have rentals, it is crazy. The cap for attaching both the brush and the vacuum cleaner is only for a wide vacuum hose like a Shop Vac. It also doesn't always fit well at the end of the exhaust pipe (outside on the exterior wall) . I made a better one with a 4" cap I bought at Rona. The holes were drill by my hubby to fit OUR vacuum cleaner and a smaller hole for the brush extensions. To take the extensions apart you may need two pliers to gently turn one side counterclock wise and keep the other side from turning too. A goopd advise is to install a lint trap. You need to cut the exhaust pipe pass the dryer for this purpose. The lint traps connect on the bottom and top of the dryer exhaust pipe. That will also allow you to get the brush with an extension through the lint trap towards the dryer and in the opposite direction. ( Look at photos of lint traps to understand what I mean) I recommed Canadian Made Reversomatic, sold at Amazon. Know that you will pay for shipping even if you are prime member. Their least expensive one is model LT 180F-44. It is metal and it will never crack. The door stays behind 2 metal tabs nice and tight. The door and the filter are in one piece. Super easy to clean. With a lint trap and this dryer vent kit you will have squaky clean dryer pipes and piece of mind.

Very useful, made a tough job much easier and convenient.
I used this for the first time cleaning the dryer vent for both mine and my tenant's dryer. I didn't remove the dryer from the vent though as in my setting both are difficult to remove. Instead I made sure the cleaning rod is not longer than the length of the vent so it does not reach into the dryer themselves. A small sacrifice in my opinion. It takes a bit of finess to get the rod into the vents, I did it slowly. There are times the rod itself gets too twisted during the spinning so I had to disengage the driver to let the rod straighten up. Other than that, it was pretty straightforward and I was able to get a fair amount of dust out from the vents. The vacuum accessories are useful, but I wish the flexible head could be even smaller so I can reach the hard to reach places in the dryer's filter mount. All in all, this is a good product. I can see myself doing the cleaning more frequently now because this made it so much easier.
