Plants grow super fast!
This works great. I’ve had it for about a month and we’ve already made salad with our homegrown greens!

Fun
Bought this for my son in law for Christmas and he loves it. He has tried several different pods and all have been successful. Very satisfied.

Excellent Starter Hydro
I'm addicted, I'm a hobby gardener in NH who misses growing in the fall and winter. I set this up under a kitchen cabinet the day it arrived and in less than a week, seeds were sprouting. This is my first-time using hydro growing and the user guide was very helpful and needs another round of editing.Set up was easy, and complete in about 5 minutes. The directions for the nutrients were a bit confusing. The water is 4 liters, and you have to mix the bottle with water and use the cap to dispense it in the water tank. It's not clear how long the nutrients will last for this product and how to order more. The user's guide is very helpful and needs a round of editing, here' s some examples:page 3 the characters overlap. Fonts and spacing inconsistent. The "Vegetables" button and "Flowers/Fruits" button have the same description: light on for 16 hours and off for 8 hours. Some places I didn't know what they were saying, (1 fi 3) Huh?The measuring is all metricThe frequently asked question section was very helpful for a new hydro grower.I've started with a mix of herbs and lettuce. After 3 weeks, I knocked the rating down to 4 stars, why - note, the third picture growth medium. there is mold and little brown things growing. Lettuce is growing well, herbs not so well.. it might be the seeds. It would be nice to know what seeds would work best for this.

One of the Best Hydroponic Gardiens
I have had quite a few of these hydroponic gardens, and this is one of the best that I’ve had. It is a little more expensive than some of the other ones of this class, but it’s worth it to spend a bit more on this model. There are several features that make this one stand out:1) This model has a larger footprint than other 12-pod competing products. While this means that it will take up more space, it also means that the pods are spaced further apart. When you’ve got your garden really growing, having just an inch more space between plants is a big deal. I’d rather lose a few more square inches of table space if it means that the plants have more room.2) This model has a fan to move the air around. Again, when you have your garden established, it really helps to have some airflow. I’ve used small desk fans for this, so having one g]built in and blowing into the center of the garden is really nice. This should also help with pollination, if you’re growing tomatoes or peppers, so you’ll get more fruit to harvest.3) The LED array is really good in this model. The lights are brighter than some of my other gardens, and I’ve seen distinct differences in growth and leaf color based on how bright the lights are. This one is a beast. Also, unlike every other one of my hydroponic gardens, this one has each LED recessed inside individual cells instead of being flush with the bottom of the light fixture. This will help with two things. Leaves that grow to the top will not be in contact with the LED and get burned as easily, and the recessed cells direct more of the light down instead of having a lot of it spill out outside of the garden. Your plants will get more of the good stuff!4) The (fake) wood light fixture looks better than black or white plastic, so it will fit in a living space a little better.5) This kit comes with two sets of planting cages and sponges. You can get a second set of plants going without needing to buy new supplies.6) There is a drain hole in the bottom. Only one of my other gardens have this, and it’s very nice. Every couple of months, I like to drain the tanks and refill them with fresh water. Some of the nutrients may build up depending on what types of plants you are growing, so a full drain and refill will restore the balance. Having a drain plug makes this a lot easier than lifting the grow platform out and dealing with the mess of roots. There are a couple of things that I don’t like about it, but I haven’t had the “perfect” hydroponic garden yet.1). The light does not get very high. Some of the plants that I grow can get rather tall, and some of my garden lights can reach twice as tall as this one gets. This is better suited for small bushy plants instead of taller plants. If you plant fennel, it will outgrow the light in a few weeks. Get dwarf varieties of seeds, or be prepared for a lot of pruning. Well, pruning is a given for any of these gardens, so that’s just something that you’ll need to do anyway.2) There is no obvious way to monitor the water level. Some of my gardens have pop-up indicators to show the water level, but this one doesn’t have anything other than a window. It’s really not a big deal, but it might be important to some people. When your plants are starting out, the water level will stay pretty constant, but when your plants are really taking off, a 12-pod system can use almost 1 liter of water each day. I used to check my levels on the indicators, but now I just top them up every other day. These go through a lot of water.Ultimately, I’ve found that every one of the gardens that I have work very well. It’s pretty amazing to see how well the plants thrive in a system like this, and it’s true that the stuff that you grow tastes better. If you’re looking to buy one, this is the one to get.
