Nil tech setup and great performance.
I have recently migrated from a DSL internet setup which was becoming increasingly dated and unreliable, a problem of living in a rural area where only one 'phone company has a monopoly on services. I was cautious and did not want to commit financially to a big outlay for an idea that might not work so I purchased this Cudy N300 as a lower cost experimental introduction to cellular internet. I only need to say I am extremely pleased and satisfied with the result. The Cudy N300 was inexpensive, simple to set up and provides excellent performance. I believe I am about a mile from the cellular antenna the Cudy uses but it performs well with no external antenna. I just measured my up/down speeds and presently have 14M download and 7 M upload, this compares with 1.8 and 0.9 with the DSL system. I have seen values as high as 25/18 on other occasions with no other arrangements than positioning the Cudy on an upper floor near a window and roughly pointing it in the direction of the cellular antenna. Originally our family has had cellular service with AT&T with home landlines and internet provided by the "other" company. I have transferred all services to AT&T on their Premier plan so presently we have three cellphones, an Apple watch and two data sim. cards with AT&T who have been amazingly helpful and patient during the complex transition to their service. The two data sim cards are interchangeable in the Cudy, each card has 50Gb of data time so if I run out of data on one card (which may happen near the end of the period) I simply switch the sim card in the Cudy and off we go again. This is not an advertisement for AT&T but it is relevant to the concept of changing to an all cellular service. Our original land line service with internet and add-ons was costing us $104 per month. This service has been terminated. The increase in cost of our cellular service with AT&T, for one cellphone line and two data sim cards, is $45. Not bad since we get improved internet service together with a $60 dollars a month saving. I gave 3 stars for tech support, average, not because it was deficient but I simply did not need it so I can't give a true score. .

Worked perfectly when we needed it most!
I'm not usually one to write reviews, but was blown away at the simplicity and effectiveness of this product and just had to share! I bought this months ago along with a data-only SIM from Google Fi. We live in Florida and you never know when disaster may strike. Strike it did - in the form of Hurricane Ian. The cable for our Xfinity connection is currently laying in our yard. I activated the data sim using my phone, pulled the router out of it's box, inserted the SIM card and said a prayer. Low and behold, it immediately connected - I used the network name and password off the bottom of the box - was online in under a minute. Yeah it's not the world's fastest connection, but I wasn't expecting that and it's perfect for what we need. Couldn't be more pleased - and the rest of the family thinks I'm a genius!

No internet available
There wasn't any internet service available in our area. We purchased the Cudy to leak with our AT&T service to get internet via WIFI. The service work pretty good most of the time. If there were several people trying to use the internet it would slow down. The unit worked well enough for my son to play online games with good speed and quality. The range covered the 2000 square foot home we have without any problems. We had the divice for over 3 years and haven't had and problems. Also, depending on the monthly service agreement you pay will vary as well as your bandwith limits. Overall it did what we needed for a good price until fiber internet was available in our area.

Good range for Security Cameras (Wyze), easy install.
I bought this to replace my T-mobile Franklin T10 hotspot. My hotspot didn't restart in the event of a power loss and I had to keep fiddling with it to get it to connect to all 4 of my cameras because 2 of them are pretty far away (one's about 70 feet). I took the sim out of that and plugged it into this router, booted it up, and it worked right away. All the cameras connected right away as well (after I changed the SSID to my hotspot name). I did have to move the antenna's a little to get the best signal but it was going through several walls and there were about 8 wifi networks in the area to contend with. After a few minutes of setting it up it was good to go. I didn't have to manually enter an APN, as some reviews have said that's needed, instead there were just a couple options on the drop down menu for T-mobile and one of them was the APN my hotspot was set up to use. It's only 4G so the speed wasn't very fast... about 10 mbps. It's probably the area my property is in impacting the speed, but it was still plenty fast enough for my cameras, which is the sole reason I bought it. If you need a wifi router to replace a hotspot on T-mobile, and you're just running some Wifi security cameras, this should work pretty well.

Stuck at connecting... to 4G LTE network
Would not connect to cellphone network. Used same sim card in 2 different routers and it works. Unit web page just said Connecting... no error message or any other data given. My sim is unlocked.

Works great - pleasantly surprised!
Replaced a Netgear MR1100 with this Cudy N300. Inserted an AT&T prepaid SIM and fired right up - didn't need to modify the APN; I do recommend installing the update...that improved operation. I have it mounted outdoors in a semi-weatherproof enclosure and it works great - I have had it online for about a month now. Powered from a solar panel + battery system, and it only pulls a few hundred milliamps max. The user interface was surprisingly good...better than I expected from a brand that isn't exactly a household name. I have two webcams and a weather station on the Wi-Fi network, and reliability has been great. I did program the unit to reboot itself every morning at 4AM just to make sure it doesn't get hung; that was a nice feature in the user interface.

Always buffering
The troughput is kinda slow and the TV is always buffering. Not true with a small netgear puck-sized/poratble hotspot that I have.

Great SIM Card Router/Modem Combo
This thing is great. I needed something to run my cameras in a vacant house with no internet. You can get a 2GB/Month SIM card from T-Mobile for $10/month, plug it in this thing, and it works flawlessly. Have not experienced any outages or issues in 60 days of use. Internet quality is more than sufficient for 2 HD cameras.

Great Product! Satisfied
Great product... I wish I could map MAC addresses to a static address on the web interface. None the less, I feel like this is the beginning of a fruitful relationship between me and Cudy.

SIM Router That Changed Everything
I honestly wish I had upgraded to this SIM card router sooner. We spent two years struggling with our old setup โ barely able to use the TV, and if someone was streaming, no one else could get online. Most of the time, my housemates had to sit right next to the router, and even then only two people could connect. Speeds were slow to very slow, and coverage only reached 2โ3 rooms. This new SIM card router has been a massive upgrade. It now covers the whole house with high speeds, even in our rural area where signal is usually weak. Setup was easy, and I even managed to change the password โ that took a little more effort, but it was still straightforward and impressive. Hardly any issues since, and now everyone can stream or watch TV in their own rooms without a problem. Reliable, fast, and with great coverage โ exactly what we needed.
