Where are these made?

China. I assumed they were made in the US, (hence the name) but nope...I returned mine.

Will this strain scorched milk?

I have never used it for scorched milk, but the mesh is so fine that I do think it would work. I bought these to strain smaller things so I don't have to use cheese cloth as often, they have worked great for me.

What is the size of the holes, in milliliters, for the mesh? It’s seems very relevant question, but lacking in nearly every product.

I have a micron o meter but it would be impossible to measure. I don't have a mesh Gauge. Eyeball judgement next to a window screen... the mesh is HALF window screen mesh. Pretty 'dang' fine.

I want to use this to strain amaranth and teff, which are finer than quinoa. Will this do the job or will they slip through it?

It's a pretty tight weave so I'm quite sure it will be fine. I've strained quinoa in it with no problem.
