Solid Product
I read a few reviews on the pins snapping but decided to take a chance. This worked great, no issues at all. I did make sure to hold the wrench tight to the caps when breaking them loose.

Bad Product
I should have known better. You get what you pay for. This item was complete garbage and ruined my work day. The pins sheared as soon as I put some force on the wrench. The pins are obviously not hardened steel like they should be. BEWARE. Don't buy this if you are expecting it to work. I would have given it zero stars if possible.

Works as expected
Christ fitment as expected

Good strong product.
The cap was really stuck fast so with pressure on a breaker bar I used a hammer to tap the tool in the lose direction. Worked perfectly that way. Don't just use pressure to losen. Add a little hammer action to break lose.

IT did the Job.. But screw head splinted
It did the Job, but screw head splinted..

Total disappointment.
The tool did not fit the Showa trim cylinder caps on my 2008 Yamaha F150. Poor craftsmanship of the tool put the pins off the mark by a fraction making it unusable.

Saved $$$
Had a leak from the cap on one of my Yamaha trim tabs, told I needed to rebuild entire system by several repairmen for $400-$600. Further investigation revealed I could replace seals in cap, only 1 leaking, but 2nd would start leaking if both werenโt addressed Seals cost as much as 2 aftermarket caps, so went with caps. But this tool was needed to remove caps. $70 for caps, $30 for tool that worked great. 2 different sizes, larger one for tilt, smaller one for trim.

When you need torque you can't have it slipping.
I had to use a 24" breaker bar so I couldn't have this tool slip. Not to mention it will likely damage the cap if it pops out when turning it. This tool helped me do both motors in 4 hours while the boat was on the lift with the help of a 8x10 floating raft.

works well, provides solid engagement
had to leave pins a little loose to get them into holes on yamaha outboard, other than that worked very well.

Not to spec
As the name says, (38mmx4mm) the 4mm pins are supposed to be 38mm apart. They are less than 37mm apart so will not fit the holes in Seastar cylinder glands. Not useable so I had to return them. Otherwise it looked like good quality.

Almost right size
Would not fit Yamaha 250

Cheap piece of crap doesn't even fit the trim assemblies it is supposedly made for.
Cheaply made and very substandard even for made in China. Measurements are not even close to fitting the trim motor caps it is supposedly made for. Over 2 mm. off in dimensions.
