Easy to Use - Great Colors!
Gorgeous color! Many compliments every day! Easy to use, one tube lasts a long time. The color washes out and fades each shampoo, but lasts for a month or more over all. I think LâOriel is discontinuing the product and we are so sad about that!

Works (somewhat) on black hair
I used to use cherry koolaid to dye my hair and was hoping this would replicate that. It totally does! I have jet black hair, and using this dye gave my hair a red/maroony tint. It does show on black hair, but you need to have the right lighting. Being inside and using indoor lights doesnât show up very well, but if youâre out in the sunlight itâll be VERY noticeable. It was super easy to use. I wore an old tshirt, and split my hair into two. I put the dye directly onto my hands (with the gloves on) and rubbed it into each part. I have really long hair, about 24 inches, and I went about halfway up my hair with the dye. I still had a bit leftover. I held my hair away from my face and let it set for 30 minutes. It took a while to wash out since there was sooo much dye. Like 5-10 minutes rinsing my hair out under the faucet. I stopped when the water was a slight red and dried it off. The towel I used got stained, so beware of that. I washed my hair a few days later and dye still came out, but it didnât stain as much as before. I would totally recommend this dye. If youâre careful, and take your time washing out your hair, you wonât get many stains. I didnât get any stains on my skin or pillowcases. The conditioner in the dye left my hair super smooth and soft, which I was surprised about. I bought this product not worried about whether it was actually temporary or not. So far itâs still very vibrant. Iâve been through 3 washes and after the first, the dye stopped washing out.

Perfect for keeping ginger/copper hair vibrant!
I love this stuff. I have been coloring my hair with "unnatural" colors for over 20 years now. I started with Manic Panic at 13 and now in my 30's I have yet to go back to my natural color. I am also a former hairdresser/colorist so I have a LOT of experience with pretty much every brand of these semi-permanent colors. THIS IS MY HOLY GRAIL, RIDE OR DIE, BAE of the semi-perms for me. I decided a few years back to try the Feria Power Copper (C74). I love it but I have hair down to my butt and in order to keep it healthy, I only ever color my roots with the Feria. I then mix a bit of an orange or red/orange semi permanent color in with my conditioner and put that all over. It always turns out perfect. I am a fan of the Sparks (though I hate the smell!) and Special Effects (WAY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET!) but I have found that the L'Oreal Tangerine is the BEST color and longest lasting. Seriously, this stuff is good. My hair practically glows. Full disclosure, I only wash my hair once, maybe twice a week. Because of this, this color lasts a ridiculously long time. It starts out a gorgeous deep red/orange and then fades orange to yellow/orange. It fades evenly as well. I usually only have to reapply this every 6-8 weeks. Why only 4 stars then? Well unfortunately, this does stain your hands and fingernails***. Most do because that's what a semi-permanent color is essentially-a stain for your hair. Since fingernails are made of the same keratin your hair is, it's nearly impossible to find a semi-permanent color that does not stain. L'Oreal includes an application brush and gloves so either use the gloves or just deal with the staining. For me, since I mix it in with my conditioner, the staining is minimal and usually washes away by the next day. The only brand I have not had stain is the Sparks brand. I really like their Orange Crush color, though it is a true orange (not red-orange like the L'Oreal Tangerine) so it fades quicker for me. It also smells like AXE and it seems to linger FOREVER! Gross LOL. But the L'Oreal smells really nice. ***Although this stains my skin/fingernails, I have not had ANY issue with this staining clothing, bedding, my tub, bathroom tile/countertops, etc. This was a MASSIVE issue for me with other semi-permanent colors. I stopped wearing white for years because of it. But now I am able to wear white even on hot sweaty days! Yay! Second reason for the 4 stars is not a reflection of L'Oreal or the product itself. I have this on a monthly subscribe and save however, I am lucky if I receive it every month. It is almost always delayed, but often it is cancelled. I once went about 5 months straight with each order being cancelled. The first time, fair enough, it did say it was temporarily out of stock. The rest of the cancellations, the product was shown to be in stock. What gives Amazon? Why offer a service if you don't actually provide it? I freaking love Amazon, but this has been super frustrating. Overall I highly recommend, though you might want to skip the subscribe and save option if you are definitely going to need it delivered every month. Happy coloring!

Got BAD Roots? Bad Color?
I am SO in love with this stuff! So far I've purchased it twice, it's that good. While it's perfect for MY needs, it might be a miss for you, and here's why: I have dark brown hair. Or shall I say HAD. I'ts turning grey, so it was salon dyed with highlights. But now my hair is growing out, and instead of a touch up, I want it to grow out to virgin hair. 2 inches of grey roots and faded medium brown ends? YUK! How was I going to leave the house unless wearing a ski mask?! I had this idea I wanted that purple/grey color after all the brown grew out. When I saw that this product doesn't damage your hair, I thought I'd try it. I've used manic panic in the past. This was reasonably priced so I went with this burgundy, because it didn't come in a purple for dark hair. Washed hair, towel dried. Instead of using the brush, I used a rat tail comb, applying the gel color on to the base and combing through. Waited. Rinsed. WOW!!!!! The grey is that gorgeous light purple, and in the light you can see streaks of dark burgundy on the brown hair. Subtle, but there. It looks like a salon did it. AND...my hair feels like it gets a conditioning treatment every time I use it! I'm not careful about avoiding my scalp, so my head is a little blotchy before my next shower. The next shower takes the scalp color off and it looks perfect. I've also put it on dry hair around my face, because those areas fade quickly because you wash your face twice a day and wear makeup. I just leave it in my hair until I wash it next. I never was very good at following directions, heehee! Comes with gloves, and the gloves are much better than box color gloves, but as a glove addict I always have the better fitting medical gloves on hand, and use those. LOVE. THIS. STUFF.

Only fuschia hair dye I can use nowđ„ș
So I've been using this for about 3-4 yrs now and it's okay. Box came a little smushed since it was shipped in a bag this timeđ What I do like is that I can actually use this dye since it doesn't have ingredients like Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Polyethylene Glycol, Sorbitol, etc which trigger my migraines within minutes of being on my skin, hair or inside (food & drink). So I'm glad I finally found this. What I don't like is that after about 5 washings, it's gone poof no more like I never used it. I loved Manic Panic and Splat but they've got the ingredients that I found trigger my migraines. Those dyes would last for 6-10 months, of course it faded alot but you could still see it and I always got compliments on it and I also use Light Blonde hair color every 3 months or so and it still stayed in but not with Colorista. And now since I'm home more I'm not even washing my hair daily, usually 2-3 times a week so why it doesn't stay in longer I've got no clue. I haven't had an issue with this staining my skin but I've also learned my lesson with Manic Panic so I now know what to do & not do. I wear a beauty cape plus gloves and I've gotten to the point that I don't have to use Vaseline around areas on my face that I used to always manage to get it on. I also just choose sections to dye and not all of my hair, I experiment depending on my moodđ€Șđ Also, I don't use bleach before using this or my Wella Semi Permanent Light Blonde hair color even though I'm starting to get those pesky gray hairs nowđ The pic of my hair is after a 2nd washing, it was much darker/brighter prior to washing this morning (dyed it 3 days ago). So it really does fade fast on my hair compared to the other 2 brands I mentioned above that I used to use.

Red dye didnât work and turned my hair green. -sent expired or defective dye?
Genuinely so bad, I ordered this because Iâve used this product before from target. I applied it like the instructions say and like Iâve always done but it only made my hair darker and greener. My hair is typically pretty blondeish light brown with blonde streaks but this turned it a muddy brown with greenish blueish hues. It was supposed to be red/maroon. Idk if they sent me an expired one or what but itâs horrible and now my hair looks green. To top it off I tried to process a refund but they want me to send it back so now I have to also return it. In the photos you canât see well how green it turned idk why but in person itâs so green. I added the photo anyways since you see a little bit. But obviously itâs not red at all so didnât work and made hair green

Super color for lighter hair
I have very dark blonde (dyed) hair with some highlights. I wasn't sure if I should go for the brunette or the blonde. I knew I wanted saturated color, not just a highlight, so I picked the brunette in red. WOW!!! It is flaming, awesome red. I get compliments every single place I go. Even people who have never seen me with my "regular" hair stop me to say "I LOVE your hair color!" I never have had an unusual color before (well, once it was pink but it was a haircolor goofup that only my husband saw...oh, and the drugstore person who sold me the color remover! ha ha!) I figured what the heck and went for bold red. I really am loving it. I almost hate to see it rinse down the drain. And it totally does rinse...it seems like you are standing in a puddle of melted cherry popsicle. I thought ahead and used an old red towel I had otherwise I would have dyed a lighter colored one. I don't see it on my pillowcase or anything, but I make sure my hair is dry before bed. No almost dry...dry dry. I have not had it transfer to any clothes yet either. Now, the big question is will it rinse out of color treated hair. So far I am only on shampoo #3, so it is staying pretty red. I don't over wash or rinse it (since I like the color) but I can see some dark blonde tinge coming through here and there. I am not sure if the highlighted ends will end up pink or what, but will update when I get to shampoo like 10 or so. I should say though that I am totally enjoying this color and may end up re-doing the red one more time before I even try to get it out. If it is really stuck, and I don't like the faded color, I may go for the color remover eventually. My daughter tried the blue/teal, and it gave her brown/dark brown hair a nice cast of blue. It doesn't look like blue hair, but a darker version of her natural color with a very noticable blue hint. It isn't like old lady, you can't miss the blue. She likes it a lot.

Love it!
I wanted to add a lighter pink to my colored light blonde hair. This is premixed in a tube, and temporary, in case I messed it up. It worked great! I put it on dry hair that had been washed the day before, and left it on 45 minutes. I rinsed in a cool shower, no shampoo. This pic is first day of application. I only wash my hair about twice a week, so we shall see how it fades. I wonât mind it fading a bit, so Iâm interested to see how it goes. Regardless, the price is great, and itâs not permanent. You really canât go wrong! Next time I may make it more steaks instead of chunks of pink, but that is a learning curve. Really fun! Edit: second pic is after three shampoos , and the color has mellowed out to the perfect pastel pale pink. It looks like it was done af a salon. Absolutely love it.
