When I researched citrulline, I read that 1 cup of watermelon = 290mg of citrulline. The exact amount varies since watermelons are subject to environmental factors. Studies of citrulline seem to utilize a maximum dosage of 3 grams per day. Recommended daily dosages range in the 1-2 gram range. This specific bottle recommends 1 tablet, 1 or 2 times daily. NOW products are great, I have spoken directly with their facility in Illinois, people very knowledgeable and direct. Their L-Arginine is listed as Pharmaceutical Grade and the L-Citrulline is not, perhaps there is no PG for LC, just not sure.

Is this citrulline MALEATE, or another form?

This is L-Citrulline, the natural form of the amino acid Citrulline. It does not contain any malic acid.
