I've been looking for a versatile, manual on/off night light that puts out just the right amount of light. Found it on all counts with this product. Here's why: some night lights have to be plugged in only vertically or horizontally and the shade sometimes doesn't adjust well enough to provide an even distribution of light. This light can be inserted vertically or horizontally, with the light being "up" or "down". The shade that wraps completely around the bulb gives you similar lighting no matter which way it is inserted. The amount of light is just right. Earlier versions of LED night lights were too dim. With the daylight color spectrum, it can also be too bright. It is also surprisingly difficult to find manual switches these days. the on/off button is easy to use. there is no turning of a switch like in older models.

I was looking for a light with a switch instead of a light sensor, and the little pushbutton is perfect. I am a little worried by the low price and it remains to be see how long they last, but they all checked in as working and seem to have equal brightness, which makes me feel their quality control is reasonable. The light is actually surprisingly bright and I'm thinking of putting a little black tape on to dim it. The lens simply unscrews to expose the circuit board with the LEDs, so this should be super easy to do without affecting the appearance. If anything happens I will update the review.

It's surprisingly hard to find nightlights with a good ol' fashioned on/off switch on Amazon (or at least it was when I was looking to buy one) This 5 pack was cheap, had good reviews, and was low power consumption. I am glad I got this 5 pack since I like to have a few turned on over night so my cats aren't in complete darkness finding their litter boxes, plus using them to light up the bathroom. They give off a good bit of light without being blinding. They are night lights—not too much else to say other than I'd definitely recommend these if you need a bunch of cheap ones that get the job done.

A good price on what appears to be a good product. These lights do what they're supposed to; only time will reveal how well they're made. We got these so we could avoid turning on full room lights to navigate through our house at night. They're a bit too bright for a typical night-light application (like in a child's bedroom), but perfect for our planned use. Because they're LED, they don't consume much energy or generate much heat. That means you can "shield" them with a piece of cloth if they're too bright.

These are great. Much brighter than the standard night lights. Not so bright they'll blind you, a fairly soft white with maybe a hint of blue. They use such little energy I don't mind leaving them on, especially in the cat litter box room with no windows where the light switch is nowhere near the door. Good for basements or poorly lit hallways. Not having motion sensors means you don't have to trip over in the dark just to get close enough to trigger the light on, then to only have it shut off a minute later.

A few reviews said "not too bright", however these are actually quite "white" and bright. I got it for my toddler son's bathroom so he can go in the middle of the night without blinding his eyes. However I had to put one of his toddler socks over it to make it less harsh at night. The light is very "white" and brighter than I had expected or hoped for.

Super bright! These are a great little night light especially when you get a 5 pack for under ten bucks. The only thing I will warn is that they are indeed very bright and produce a very white cool temperature light. This is not the warm yellow light of an incandescent bulb so it may be too intense for a bedroom. All in all a great value!

Too bright. Plain and simple. These should have wattage equivalency to incandescent bulbs of the same variety. Or some lumens level in the product title. Customer shouldn't have to read ALL reviews on a "kid's room" nite light. These are SO bright we don't need lamps or fixtures at all now! We're going to try and "black out" some of the six LEDs on the panel to see if we can obtain the desired brightness.
