This fertilizer is for you! Review: Great Orchid Fertilizer - Perfect orchid fertilizer. Product of university research. Easy to use. I use it diluted to half the recommended concentration every week when I water my orchids Review: Used this for years - I've used this for more than 4 years on my more than 100 orchids - they do great! It's a good, balanced fertilizer that I've used with both tap and RO water. I do tend to supplement with a different, higher phosphorous fertilizer during or just before blooming season, when I remember, but this is a great all-around choice. I add 1/4 tsp / gallon of water ad use that every time I water my plants.

Works well
Have only used for a short while, but my orchids look much happier and have shinier and plumper leaves.

I love this orchid food
I've used rePotme products on my Phalaenopsis orchids for years. I've had amazing success with all my orchids not only surviving but thriving and re-blooming year after year. I use their potting mix and fertilizer. In the past I've used the liquid fertilizer but this time switched to the powdered formula to save money. The only difference using this formula is that after measuring out the fertilizer and adding it to water, let it sit a couple minutes so that it's fully dissolved.

Great Orchid Fertilizer
My orchids love this fertilizer. This is the second jar I’ve bought. I am an amateur with growing orchids, but all 7 of my orchid plants (that I’ve had two years now, are blooming. I owe it to this fertilizer. I highly recommend it!

Easy to use, happy orchids
I don't know why Amazon thinks I need to rate the scent, it's not relevant. It doesn't have a smell that I'm aware of. But my orchids sure do like it, and it makes it so I can use RO water and add back in important nutrients. Our tap water is too hard and leaves mineral deposits real bad. This with RO is a much better solution. I like that I can just mix up a jug at a time. And there's no urea, which AFAIK serves no purpose in orchid fertilizer, which is why I prefer this fertilizer over other brands.

A bit tricky
I've reviewed the MSU fertilizer before. For orchds, there is nothing better. The granular form is still great stuff (my plants are blooming quite nicely). But, it has a couple of drawbacks. I purchased this because I figured there was no reason to pay for shipping water across the country. I thought that this way I would be paying just for the product and I could add my own water. The canister opened during shipping. Fortunately, they had packed it in plastic bag. Now, you have to realize that this stuff is highly hydroscopic; the stuff that had spilled out of the open container had swollen due to humitidy to about double its original volume. So, you have to keep it dry until you are ready to use it. Store it in a plastic container in the 'fridge. Adding a couple of those little humidity absorbing packets helps. If the powder gets damp and then dries, it will be rock hard. You'll have to crush it back to a powder (and then store it in that plastic container). It also has a dye in it (my version is deep blue). This stuff may stain your hands if you get the powder on your hands. I had to do some calculations to get the correct concentration for using the powder instead of the liquid. RePotMe says to use 1 tsp of liquid per gallon of water. To get to that concentration stock solution, I use 3/4 tsp of powder per gallon of the stock solution (I mix in a 1 quart container so that would usually make 32 gallons of liquid so 32 * 3/4 = 24 tsp of powder per quart). I use about 1/4 tsp of the stock solution per gallon to water my orchids. The 4-star is only for the convenience. The fertilizer is top rate and I would give it a 6+. But, the granular form is a bit tricky to use.

MSU formula fertilizer
I am hoping is doesn’t get nasty looking before I can use it up . Keeping the moisture away should be a great help but I don’t think it looses its fertilizer effectiveness either way. I hope I can keep it sealed up tight to prevent moisture from getting at it. It should be easy enough to measure with the consistency of the product when new.
