I was genuinely surprised by how well these heel socks work. The gel lining feels comfortable and stays in place, and after just a few uses my heels were noticeably softer and smoother. Great product, but like others I found the socks gel was sticky even after washing (wool type/delicates hand washing detergent). So let me concentrate on that issue here. I studied this problem with silicone gel and tried and found the following to work best, well, //it worked for me//. Try it if you want to. You should 1st wash the socks clean and make sure they are COMPLETELY air dried before trying this method. I dried mine inside out. Make a thick paste from baking soda and water. Think extra thick toothpaste... but NOT dry/crumbly. Again, I turned my socks inside out (carefully so you don't maybe damage the gel) and put down a VERY thick layer of this paste onto the gel surfaces. Leave it to dry at least over night or longer if in humid environment. Once dry, break off the dry caked paste from the surface and rinse any remaining powder residue off the sock. Wash again if you want to, I just rinsed thoroughly. Again, let dry COMPLETELY. No more stickiness! I read this works for silicone bakeware/utensil stickiness. And it's not a chemical laden method. If you find a resistant spot (still a little sticky), just repeat the steps.. you might not have washed the sock well the 1st time(?), or probably layered the paste too thinly in a spot. As a female with thick ankles, I have issues with socks cutting into my ankles. I've tried off brands to help with my dry, cracked heels and while they helped, I quit using them because they cut into my ankles too much. So I thought I'd go for the Zentoes. I've only used these for 3 days now and they are super comfortable, and don't leave deep creases in my ankles. They are already helping my heels as well. Going to look for a bigger pack (like 6 or 12) to perhaps bring the cost down a little, but also, so I won't have to wash them as often.

After reading reviews on this, I ordered a large size to fit a man's foot (a 101/2 shoe size) but completely comfortable. The gel lining is very well attached and is really part of the sock. For over a week, I used Aquaphor as an ointment, wearing the heel socks each night, and the dry skin and thick callouses are almost gone. It also healed the splits in the callouses where the skin was raw. I have been able to use a file, when needed, and I am now using this as a regimen 3 to 4 days a week. These heel socks have made a big difference. I hand wash them on a weekly basis and dry them in the dryer with a load of other laundry. You MUST check the dryer often enough to take these out when they are dry or I am sure they would be ruined.
