Shock Doctor Knee Brace , Compression Knee Brace for Men & Women, Stability, Patella Instability, Meniscus & Ligament Injuries

I have had problems with one knee for years. I have done everything possible to avoid surgery which included knee braces. I have tried many. All have given a degree of relief. Problems: Some have folded up behind my knee causing enough irritation and chafing so the improvement wasn't worth it. The last one I used was open behind my knee, but did not go far enough above and below my knee to give the support I needed, and had very little compression on my knee where it was most needed. I have had this knee brace for just over two weeks and worn it all day every day. I have NEVER been able to wear any knee brace all day. That, to me, is a BIG deal. First, it is comfortable. It fits perfectly. It has soft material behind my knee that does not chafe. The compression is total and firm around my knee, and the adjustable straps make the fit perfect. No worry about reduced circulation. I actually forget I'm wearing it. Honest!!! I still have pain in my knee, but only about 10% of what it was before. The biggest thing is that I can now go up and down stairs without going one stair at a time with none of the shooting pains I had before. All of the intense pain is gone. I can not believe it! If you have tried other knee braces that just didn't get the job done, or cause problems that were not there before (chafing), you owe it to yourself to try one of these. The brace is very solid and well made. I have no doubt that it will last a long time.

I have used this type of brace for years. I finally decided to replace my old brace and I'm glad I did. The new one is so much and offers more support without slipping. I do have to say that I used my old brace (exact same model) for the last 8 or nine years. It held up under countless intense workouts, runs, sand volleyball, etc. but I'm glad to have a brand new one to break.

Great for recovering from a fractured knee cap, I am able to walk around with a lot less difficulty. I tried many other braces but none I found gave the right support for the healing knee cap. Does not stretch as easily or as fast as other braces, and if/when it does the way the straps are set you can still tighten it to your need. I would give it 5 stars but the sizing is off, at least for women, like it or not our thighs are larger then men's. Followed the sizing video and chart to a T they say nothing about the upper portion width, not cool. If I hadn't have needed it so bad to walk and couldn't wait for the whole return and ship out of a new one, I would have returned for a larger one. The first few days were painful getting it on and off, because it was sooo tight, until I figured I would stuff it with some XL yarn balls to stretch it overnight for about two weeks, as I said it does not stretch easily. After that it was better to put on and take off. Another draw back is when you get sweaty it is nearly impossible to get off, which seems to be the case with other sleeve type braces. Although if I had a bigger size perhaps this would not be as much an issue either. All and all I would say this is a great brace gives me the stabilization and comfort needed for my healing knee, Women just be sure to order up a size.

really great for my grade 1 MCL Sprain. Allowed me to continue training Jiu jitsu but was still careful with many moves with it.

I just want to mention one thing that makes this brand's knee brace superior to every other "over the counter" knee brace I've tried: The straps are secured with proper, two-part Velcro on the straps themselves. Other brands just use the "hook" part to secure the straps directly to the outer fabric of the brace, and always wear out and fail to hold after a couple months.

A very effective knee brace. It has flexible side stays the support, but don't adversely restrict movement. Good patella (knee cap) support. Stays in place well with velcro straps both top and bottom. Material and stitching is strong & durable.

I have a torn meniscus and I bought both the 870 and 875 in hopes of getting to a place where I can start jogging again. So far neither has got me there, but I do feel supported when I wear either walking or working out. Comfort wise for walking around they feel about the same. For squatting I prefer the 875, but for activities like yoga I won't wear either one as they both feel like they limit my mobility. My overall knee pain may be lessening, but only time will tell if I can get back to a place where I can run again.

the support from this brace is very good. in fact i purchased two; one with the side stabilizers and the other model with the dual metal hinges. i ended up returning the one with flexible side stabilzers. with the pull up tabs that help you put the brace on; although support was very good, when i'm done working out and want to take this brace off to ice my knee, it was a BEE-OTCH to remove!!! i found myself struggling like heck to take it off because it was so very tight. and YES i DID measure my knee the way they instructed for a proper fit. what i don't understand is if they designed the brace with pull tabs to help you slide the bracenon, why can't they provide pull tabs to pull it off from the bottom. as a result, the side stabilizers started to stick out the bottom of the brace about to tear out of the bottom seam. if you wait until your sweat dries off then the brace becomes itchy. you cannot just flip the brace down and take it off that way;!the way you could with braces that don't have velcro straps. because of the belcro straps and the side statbilizers, you need to slide it off the same way you put it on. good luck! it really is a bear to remove. shock doc - put the pull tabs on the bottom of the brace and this brace gets a 5 star rating...

I recently sustained a knee injury when travelling in Asia. I ordered this knee brace so that I could continue training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu once I got back to the UK. It arrived in less than 3 business days on standard delivery with no extra charge and my knee is feeling loads better and more stable when wearing it. It has a snuck feel with good grip. Angling the knee too far and putting pressure on it, like for example in the "knee on stomach" position, the back of the brace pinches a little bit, but in most positions its very comfy! I am so glad the brace arrived to quickly and looks like its going to work out, now I can attend Ryron Gracie's seminar the coming weekend!

Ich benutze sie seit dem Kauf regelmäßig beim Sport und habe keinerlei Probleme dabei: hervorragender Tragekomfort, optimale Stabilisierung des Kniegelenks - einfach rundum ein gutes Gefühl. Klingt ein wenig, wie in einer Dauerwerbesendung, entspricht aber den Tatsachen, deshalb ist das wohl in Ordnung... Gerade aber im Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überaus beeindruckend. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.
