Bungo Stray Dogs, Vol. 8 (light novel): Storm Bringer (Volume 8)

Book quality was great. I really liked the art on the first few pages and the character sketches on the back. This is one of the best books I've read in a while, and it had me in tears for a few parts. I really hope this gets put in the anime.

Great but tragic story. Refreshing to see things through Chuuya’s eyes for once.

I haven’t finished it yet, but I expected this to be a manga, not a regular book lol. sure, there are occasional pictures to show how the characters look like, but it’s mostly just words. the book is pretty big, bigger than my regular bsd books! (also the black splat on the book is supposed to be there)

I enjoy reading all the Bungo light novels, and this is definitely Asagiri's best work. The emotion, the suspense, it all truly ruined me. Asagiri's writing has the ability to turn Chuuya into your favorite character even he is already not. I literally felt like tearing up hearing Verlaine's backstory as well.

I waited several months for it to come back in stock after it sold out and it came in great condition, and the story itself was beautiful. I specifically waited until I had finished the book before doing a full review. Mild spoiler warning. I’m a really big Chuuya fan and this dipped into his past and showed another side to him that I feel like gets missed often in his other appearances, or in the fandom’s perspective. Albeit traumatizing for the kid, this gave him a huge character development that really showed more of his intellectual side, and his caring nature for his friends. He’s not just some stand offish guy who’s angry all the time; he’s Tsundere, forgiving, stubborn and impulsive, but he’s also genuine, caring, and selfless. He’s always willing to make sacrifices for the betterment of others, even if they never have him the same treatment, or if he’ll be losing a part of himself for it. The novel explored a lot of his history and really pushes that he's is his own person, and not just a powerful lacky for the Port Mafia. He’s a really deep character with his own motives and ambitions. I cried like 7 times reading it, and lost my voice screaming the lines while reading it to my partner. Truly a beautiful book, 10/10 recommend to any BSD fan. I really hope it gets an adaptation in the future, everyone needs to know the story and I know way to many anime only people that won’t pick up a book. Can’t wait for the next novel, thank you for all your hard work, Asagiri-san and Harukawa-san!

Everything about this book made me shed a tear, whether it be of joy or of pain. If you're not a broke bsd fan, GET IT and if you are broke but still want it, GET IT. Man. the best read of my life. I love pianoman and Adam a little too much.

That's a masterpiece I love it, especially Iceman I read it online first, but I decided I NEEDED a physical copy.

This book is in great condition and I can’t wait to read it! Though I’m nervous to see more about chuuya past already been spoiled a bit and not ready for the tears 😭

this’s a masterpiece, one of kafka best novels if isn’t the best. this book gives you an insight look of chuuya’s personality which is really deep, complex and beautiful I love him beyond words
