I got this for my husband for Christmas and here is his review: "I've always been a fan of excavators since I was a kid but never thought I'd get my own "toy" as an adult. What I love about this excavator is that it has a separate motor for each moving part,v the boom, the arm and the bucket all move separate from each other like the real thing. I've seen other RV excavators that mimic the excavating motion by pressing one button but on this one you have full control of all the motions. The bucket is made of metal and it is pretty powerful for a toy, I was able to dig out some weeds in my garden with it. Definitely a fun toy for kids and adults alike that are interested in excavators. The battery lasts way more than I expected it, I was able to play with it several days for long periods of time without recharging. The body is made of plastic but it seems well made and durable. No assembly required. This is a great way to start understanding the way a real excavator controls work! Definitely recommend this!

Super fun toy, doesn't have much power but that's to be expected. I bought this due to my love for heavy equipment. It's great in loose light dirt or sand but anything packed it won't dig. Battery life is pretty decent. Depending on the person, I would recommend going up in price and getting a hobby grade made from metal.

The item description and the real toy is totally different. It doesn't have any metal parts including the shovel. Highly Disappointed
