I was leery about ordering these because so many reviews had issues with mold. Mine arrived perfectly and I am really glad I ordered them. I put 3 packs in the freezer right away. Tried one cake and refrigerated the other. They are so moist and the flavor is really good. Very pricey, but as a diabetic, I love that I can have these on hand for a treat when I need a cake fix! Would buy again.

Totally disgusted by the fact that the item was received roughly 2 weeks ago, has a 'best by...' date of July 2022, and yet it is 3-28-22 and I open them for the first time and they are inedible due to MOLD, MOLD, AND MORE MOLD. SO. DISGUSTING. And, the smell coming off of the mold is nothing short of toxic in scent. Is it? I dunno...not finding out. I just wanted and exchange; not be an experiment in mold toxicity. I've been buying these for over a year and love them; perfect 'fix' for that munchy when you want something sweet, cake-like, and dunk-able. Really was jonesin' for one after working hard and was met with moldy disappointment. Very disgruntled over this due to the cost of this product. >:{ Contacted amazon bot and received a refund.

I love Smart products when they are fresh. I buy buns, these lil cakes in lemon flavor I’ve had before and they were great. This bunch is moldy and I didn’t have the kitchen light on when I opened and ate a big bite. : P Bleah! I’m like these taste weird. Yuck. Really excellent product when NOT moldy. PS you also believe Amazon should stand behind all products. Food items not returnable. Since these moldy ones are not, entire waste of money.

These are a great alternative to cake for a diabetic. They taste great and are virtually indistinguishable from real starch, fat, and sugar cake. There are two issues: (1) they are ridiculously expensive and (2) the lemon variety always has mold growing on the side and bottom. I have ordered them three times and all three boxes had mold under the paper wrapper, even though I freeze them immediately upon arrival. I gave up ordering them because of this. It’s a shame because lemon is the best variety. Red raspberry is also great. Be sure to throw them in the freezer when they arrive.

I was so excited to receive these lemon smart cakes. The first package was fabulous. Loved them. I just opened another package and the smell was disgusting and the cakes were covered in MOLD. Never again will I purchase these very expensive smart cakes. Wish I could return as they were super expensive. I don’t dare open the remaining packages. Extremely disappointed! Buyer beware !!!

I opened this package to find the product was filled with mold. Totally disgusting and inedible. And I am not happy that this item is ineligible for return. I should receive a full refund for this biohazard.

I have tried the chocolate, cinnamon, and lemon. The lemon is my favorite. Very good dessert for 38 cal. High-protein. The chocolate is dry. To expensive to keep buying.
