Nexxus 360 Rechargeable Clip-On Guitar Tuner

The D’Addario Nexxus 360 is easily one of the best clip-on tuners I’ve ever used. The rechargeable battery is a huge upgrade over constantly buying button cells—just plug it in with USB, and it’s ready to go for hours of tuning. Accuracy is spot-on. Really great. For sure! These are small and compact but well designed and made. Simple to use. Bright. Works well in actual use and it stays charged a long time. I like these by far better than my other tuners and better than even my p#s rechargeable tuner of similar design. This is better. Not usb-c. Usb-c would be much superior in my view and would be recommended to the manufacturer as an upgrade. Nevertheless this is the best rechargeable tuner. Update: 9/30/2024 This tuner is 'extra' nice. Extra nice because it stays on active for a long time and a player can actually monitor/check notes and chords with decent accuracy while continuing to play for a while. It definitely stays on way longer than minimally necessary when activated. This is good because it continues to do its job longer than most tuners. The easy rechargability is most welcome instead of ubiquitous batteries. Update: 3/2/2026. I have 4 of these tuners now and 1 of them now has the silicone touch pad cover hanging by one corner from the face of the tuner. Can’t get it back in place. It works without it but looks like a car without hub caps. Nevertheless I like the fast tuners that stay on longer than needed for long tuning monitoring. These are great tuners. I ordered a new one just now to replace the one with the touch pad cover hanging off of it.

I've only had a chance to try this out once after receiving it today, but my initial impressions are good. It reacts a little slower than I hoped to tuning changes, but once you get it locked in to the center of a note it seems to be true. This thing is much smaller than I expected looking at the pictures. I wish it had just a little bit more padding on the clip. I had a similar type tuner of another brand years ago that damaged the finish on my guitar headstock and I am hoping not to have a repeat of that. I like that it's rechargeable. If it seems too slow in responding though it may take a bit longer to tune up with it than I had hoped. Will see.

It clips on the headstock nicely. It picks up vibrations from all strings. It proved to be very accurate and easy to use. I tuned two electric guitars today, using this tuner. I like the rechargeable battery feature. I'm glad I bought it, and I am recommending it. (I've purchased about four clip-on tuners in the past, different brands, and I haven't liked any of them very much.) I knock off one star because the documentation is about 80% complete. There is no guidance on what to expect when using the Calibration Buttons. A user (too) easily could inadvertently calibrate to a non-standard setting. I had to read a review of this device in an online magazine article (guitarplayer.com) to learn what is displayed as a result of using the Calibration Buttons.

Best portable tuner I’ve ever had. Small, accurate and strong.. I keep breaking all the other tuners just from unpacking and packing my equipment. Plus, changing out a battery is a pain in the ass. I like that it’s chargeable.

I like this tuner better than the Fender and others I've tried. Glad I paid extra for the rechargeable model. Well worth the price difference and the tuner holds its charges better than I expected

Definitely an upgrade to a great line of tuners.

This tuner is accurate, has a very clear display which shows when it is in tune or not. It’s bright and I can read it easily at the end of my electric guitar, mandolin, or base. It’s a superior tuner-I’ve owned three other brands which are not as accurate, are not as easy to use, and none are nearly as bright as this one. Plus, it’s rechargeable and the charge lasts a very long time. I haven’t charged mine yet and it’s being a few weeks of heavy use, yet the built-in battery indicator says fully charged. I highly recommend this as a cut above, even if it’s a few bucks more. It’s worth it in this case!

As a guitar teacher, I've tried many types of clip-on tuner, some great and some awful. If you want something that's rechargeable, with a bright display, a simple on/off button (frequency can be altered but not by accident) and a tuner which will tell you what the note is (chromatic), then this is for you. I now recommend this to all my students, as it's perfect for all guitarists without all the confusing settings.
