AUSCAMOTEK Dead Duck Dummy Bumper for Waterfowl Hunting Retriever Dog Training Soft Durable Floating

We have used it heavily in training the Lab pup. The balance of the dummy mimics a live duck. It throws well into the water. After 2 months of use it still floats but the rope slipped and had to be glued. It is possible with such heavy use it was not possible to hold up. I still think for the price the training dummy was worth every penny. I have ordered a new one. Our Lab loves it.

There are reviews talking junk about this item but this is not meant as a chew toy! It is a training fowl people! We have a dokken as well and our baby actually prefers this one. I think, because it is lighter and also sits on top of the water. Unlike the dokken which sinks down into the water quite a bit. It is durable and the quality is great as long as you use it solely for the purpose it was made for and don't let your dog chew on it. We love it and so does our baby!

There are many reviews that recommend the effectiveness of this dummy as a training tool. I really like that the geometry of the body, head, and throwing handle teaches the pup how to pick up a bird. We mostly train with bumpers, and our golden pup picks them up a lot of different ways (like a cigar, for one) and tends to play around with the throwing line on the retrieve. She only comfortably picks these dummies up by the body. These are well balanced and easy to throw!

I just worked with my hunting dog with this dummy and she loves it... It has one problem thats easily fixable and I recommend you do it before you throw it for the first time. The string that goes through the dummy will extend out all the way out on the head end and makes a tripping hazard for your dog. Simple fix tie a knot in the string on the plastic ball end of the dummy (close to the dummy) so the string doesn't move while your dog is bringing it back. Once I did that it worked perfectly.

I have bought several of these for my lab and they have lasted for months. Recently I purchased this one and it was not the quality. He tore the head off in 3 days. Will not purchase again.

This dummy was alright, it was made very cheap which made it a little hard to use. I did end up returning it.

Awesome training tool! Looks realistic, and the dogs took to it right away. It’s held up well after multiple retrieves and some rough play.
