Love it & it was a good price on sale
The only thing I did not like about this product was that the company had it on sale for $12 and did not have the other dolls on sale for that price. I did read the reviews before purchase and saw that several people said the skin tone was more yellow, green, or gray but that was not the case for this baby. This baby looks Caucasian except for it's eyes that are really dark brown, almost black and distinctively Asian. It is very pretty and I was wanting to get my daughter a doll that looked like her a bit but this one was on sale and is a test run for getting other baby dolls for my daughter. My daughter has blonde hair and blue/brown hazel eyes and I was wanting to get her a doll that is the size of her baby brother but wasnt wanting to break the bank when doing so. This baby fits the bill & she loves it, so I will probably purchase the Caucasian girl and boy (with blue eyes) so she can have a set of "twin" babydolls like I had when I was her age. I love these dolls because they are realistic looking (the Asian one even has 4 teeth in the front) and they fit in Newborn & smaller 0-3 month size clothing so instead of having to spend a fortune on baby doll clothes, you can use clothes your children have grown out of or make them clothes if you are crafty (I have found videos on youtube on how to make baby clothes) or you can buy baby clothes on clearance at the stores or from thrift stores. I got a shallow rubbermaid storage drawer to use as this doll's bassinet and gave my daughter her old baby clothes and baby clothes her brother has grown out of and also given her the baby blankets that she had as a baby for her doll and the diaper bag that I used for her so she can put everything away. The only thing I did not like about this doll is that if you put short sleeves on it, it looks like it is wearing long sleeves underneath because of the cloth body, but honestly that is not a huge issue. It is soft enough for kids to sleep with and good to teach them how to button, snap, & zip clothing and how to care for a baby if they do not have a younger sibling.

Love Berenguer/JC toys brand dolls
My niece is almost 2.5 and really starting to get into babies and loving things. Her mom is not a huge doll person and I am, so I told her I'd take care of it. Berenguer brand baby dolls, currently JC toys, are a favorite of my kids. So I knew that was the route I was going. She likes matching so I wanted something big enough to wear real baby clothes. At 20" long, this baby can easily fit between newborn and 0-3 months outfits. I grabbed a newborn headband and it fit perfectly. I love that you can make the doll a boy or girl, with just changing the clothes. The body is perfect for a toddler! A big ol squishy, huggable body. Zero smell! The plastic parts are the head, hands and feet. I forgot what it's called, 3/4 body i think? Where the limbs aren't full, it's only a little past the ankle and wrist. Either way, perfect for her. I bought a long sleeve and pants outfit to match my niece's pjs. I love that this can be washed. She's a toddler and it's her first baby. She's already going everywhere with her. Magic eraser on the plastic parts, toss in the washer and air dry if the body gets dirty. Could not be better! It comes with a little bottle, i would've preferred a disappearing bottle, but that just means I get to get her more accessories. My absolute favorite part about Berenguer/ JC babies is that they come with a pacifier that fits perfectly. For a little girl that adores her baby, that means a lot. I simply cut it off of the outfit it arrived it. This is so cute and so many possibilities because it can wear real baby clothes, that my 7 year old wants one for her bday. *it fits size 1 pampers perfectly, just fold the back under a little

Adorable and very well made
Very cute well made doll. They fit Newborn sized baby clothes perfectly. I purchased this one to model doll clothes I sell online and she photographs cute too. This would make a great special gift for a young child, high quality made doll and easy to find other clothes for.

So Sweet and worth it!
ok.. well i originally purchased this doll as a gift, however when it arrived the doll had some scratches on her vinyl..and it didnt look good enough to give.. so long story short i gave it to my 2 yr old son to play with... he loves her! im an artist doll collector for 25 yrs now, and spend alot on them... for the $26 price here for this doll i can say its Totally worth it. shes adorable! her head is huge, the expression is adorable, she can suck her thumb or paci.. i gave her a nb nuk and it fits perfect. i also redressed her into a size 0-3 month gerber outfit. she does need long sleeves and pants as she has cloth limbs. she looks like a doll, but realistic at the same time.. if that makes any sense lol overall great doll for a toddler/child... or someone on a tight doll budget! very huggable, but not really weighted.. light enough for my 2yr old to carry around the house. I Say just try one!

Perfect Companion for Dementia!
*THIS IS NOT A SPONSORED REVIEW. These are my own thoughts regarding my personal experience with JC Toys and this particular product I purchased.* I am the primary caregiver for my mother who has Alzheimer’s. Often, when she experiences confabulations, she transports back to her childhood—a challenging yet more carefree era of her life. Since she was a little girl, she’s loved children. She was always the go-to auntie and babysitter of the family. With that said, this doll has been a godsend. I bought the African American 20-inch soft-bodied doll with the purple outfit. The doll’s complexion and skin tone are beautiful, and its asymmetrical smile is extremely lifelike and just adorable. The doll’s great quality is susceptible to normal wear and tear, but with care and gentleness, this doll’s durability can definitely stand the test of time. Also, it fits clothes that babies 0 to 3 months of age can wear, and washing and changing its clothes are super easy (the clothes that came with the doll have been washed several times, and there have been zero quality issues). I do wish the doll’s body was not soft and was made out of the same material as its arms and legs, and I wish the arms and legs were bendable. Nonetheless, especially for the price, this doll is wonderfully made and has been such a lovely companion for my mom. She and the doll are inseparable.

Does it get any better than this?
First of all, you really can dress this baby in newborn clothes. Right now it's dressed in one of my favorite outfits my daughter used to wear when she was brand new... she was 8 pounds 2 ounces at birth. This was important to me, because I really wanted to encourage my (now 2 year old) daughter to learn how to use snaps and buttons and things while getting dressed. That, and I have a ton of newborn clothes still in storage, so why not use them? I have to mention that onesies or sleeveless outfits will not look good though, seeing as the "skin" of the baby doll only reaches about two inches from the end of each extremity. The rest of the body, underneath the clothes, is a white cotton material. This is great for cuddling, and for realistic playtime movements, but not so great for summer clothes. As for what my daughter thinks of her new baby... suffice to say she's obsessed with it. We've only had it for about a day, so of course she's fascinated by her new toy, but I can definitely see this as being a lasting favorite. She loves putting baby socks on it, singing to it, feeding it, and giving it kisses. We purchased another baby doll at the same time - the African American 11" doll by the same brand - and she DEFINITELY prefers the 20" one. It is not very heavy, so she has no trouble toting it around, but it is still VERY large! It's hilarious to watch, because she actually looks like she's carrying a real newborn. One reviewer mentioned the doll didn't look anything like the picture... this is not the case for us. Our doll is completely identical to the one pictured, as far as I can tell. The quality of its features are VERY realistic, though something about the expression struck me as a little off at first. I chalk this up to not actually owning such a realistic looking doll previously. In the picture you can't see what's under the hat... the baby is not bald, it has light brown hair that is of the same material as its "skin". It does not have eyebrows, just little ridges, but this is common in baby dolls and not surprising. I also really like the material used for its skin... I can not STAND cheap, hard plastic dolls! While the vinyl (?) is not particularly soft, it does give some when you squeeze on it. Not cheap feeling at all! As for odors... it doesn't have one. If you sniff up close, you can smell the vinyl, but there is nothing obvious or chemically about it at all. Yay! The clothing it came with is fair, but not really my style. I'd much rather dress it in our old newborn clothes. My daughter hates the hat, and prefers her baby without it. When all is said and done... we love this baby, and I think it is a VERY good value. I am seriously considering buying one or two more, though at thirty bucks a pop that adds up fast. But honestly, I think it is a very good price for a realistic looking baby doll of this size, and I will definitely be recommending it to fellow moms.

You can make Baby look and feel real very easily!
This little one exceeded my expectations. The number one reason I bought this one over the other races was because of the smile. So cute! I also bought it since other reviewers said it fit newborn clothes. NB is actually a little loose in the feet area, but otherwise fine and a lot cuter. Newborn hats are a little tight. I went to Goodwill for baby clothes because they are normally in great shape (babies don't wear them for long!) and much cheaper, about $1.99-3.99 for most sleepers, $0.99 for hats, and you just wash them up and you're good to go. The packaging for this product was ridiculously difficult. If you are giving it to a child for a present, honestly I would take it out of the box (took over 10 minutes) and place it in a new box in blankets or something (more likely the child will like that better anyway, and they can pick baby up right away) to make it easier. As you can see in my photo (red background), one of baby's thumbs fits --and stays-- in baby's mouth, which is super cute. I added small "incisions" into the soft back and took out some of the stuffing and added cheap ankle weights into the head (accessible from the soft body) and into the body to make the weight more real. Very easy and it makes baby more fun to hold. Because it is newborn size, it makes it more real to add weight to the head so you have to support it, just like you do a new baby. Overall, I am very happy with this little baby. EDIT: I found a carter's preemie size sleeper and it's a little tight. See second photo with green background.

Great Doll, Interesting Buying Experience
This is a great doll. I was looking for a new doll for my 3 year old son (his first doll was very well loved, beginning to come apart, and has been retired to a keepsake box). His preschool has dolls of different ethnicities and genders, and encourages boys and girls to play with them; we encourage this in our home as well. We are African-American, and we wanted a doll with which our son could positively identify and looked like him. So I began searching for a soft-body, African-American, boy doll of 18" or 20" with a reasonable price, $50 max. I searched and searched and searched and searched...for weeks. I found no dolls with the above qualities. So I put on my thinking/lawyer cap and decided to purchase a girl doll, unpackage it, dress it in boy clothing, and repackage it. For different reasons I felt uncomfortable doing this and was concerned about the void/almost nonexistence of such dolls for African-American boys; and various gender stereotypes my actions raised. But I was happy to do this for my son. I paid about $25 for the doll. The doll is extremely sturdy, of very high quality, and has the cutest facial expression. Regarding clothing, it was cheaper to purchase real and durable baby clothes than flimsy and expensive doll clothes. So I ended up buying several Carter's footed jumpsuits, hats, socks, bibs, etc., of newborn size (at a super discount from Ross Dress for Less). The total price for everything came to around $50 (our budget for the doll). My son was overjoyed with his new doll and was especially excited that it has hair like his. He said, "He looks like me." That was our intention with this endeavor, and I'm very glad that it met my son's expectations. In the end, this was a very good purchase and I highly recommend this doll.

Great quality doll for collectors and children
I just fell in love with this bundle of joy, this doll is very well made and should last for many years. Definitely, worth the purchase. Also, the doll does dress like a little baby boy well as well.

She is soooo cute and beautiful!
She is sooo cute with the two front bottom teeth and smile. I bought her for our new great niece who is only a couple of weeks old. I am sure when she is the right age she will love her. I have bought all of my nieces their first dolls, and they are always the soft body. I like that she is life size which is very very very hard to find. I shopped a long time before I thought to look on Amazon.
