Finally, my cats get the support they need and really love the taste!
Finally, a product my cats love and genuinely benefit from. I'm a Biochemist by trade and have struggled to find a way to get Methylcobalamin B12 and D-Mannose into my cat's diet. The supplements are critical to their well-being, but they hated the taste. After years of trying to find creative ways to get my cats to eat their supplements, I was thrilled to hear that a product was introduced that cats actually eat. You can imagine my joy when all four of my cats loved the taste. Thank you, Toby Scientific, for caring about cats and ensuring the product is safe.

6 out of our 8 cats approve
Our cats seem to love the taste of this Toby's Immune Boost powdered supplement. I sprinkle the powder atop their raw food. Haven't seen them eat so fast. They clean out their entire bowl. A tiny spoon is provided, wish the spoon had a longer handle it just gets lost in the powder and sometimes a little difficult to pick up. Anyhow, I will buy this again. A larger size offering would be great for all of our 8 cats. I'm sure this small bottle will go in no time.

Allergy warning—contains brewer's yeast
Before trying this product, I didn't know that one of my cats was allergic to brewer's yeast. He's never had any other allergy issues, so after a quick check to make sure this didn't include any grain/other undesirable ingredients, I didn't even think of it. I feed raw, and I started mixing this into their food with their other supplements (e.g. psyllium husk, probiotic, etc.). The reaction started with some occasional, very uncomfortable-looking sneezes and a bit of extra scratching, and progressed to throwing up his breakfast today. Needless to say, I won't be adding it to his food after this. Brewer's yeast/yeast in general features near the top of some common pet allergy lists, so it's odd that there's no warning to test your pet for allergies before use, since brewer's yeast is a key ingredient here. I do like the idea of this product, and I wish I could continue to use it. In the handful of days my cats were eating it, they became noticeably softer in the coat. Even for those pets without yeast allergies, though, there's still a definite "con" that keeps my rating lower than it otherwise would be. This is a very very small little jar, so $20/ea seems higher than a lot of people will be able to afford, especially given the larger doses required by dogs. I'd weigh your options and do some research into other products to see if this is your solution or if there's a better/more affordable one elsewhere. And if your pet is allergy-prone or allergic to yeast—steer clear!

MY CATS LOVED IT
Toby's Immune Boost powder was a great addition for the heath and wellbeing for my two cats. They absolutely loved the taste of this product on top of their dry and wet food. I will be purchasing this product again. 10/10 would recommend.

Cat approved taste! But do they need it?
I make my own cat food; 100% chicken and some added ingredients to meet a cat's nutritional needs (feline vet developed recipe). A B vitamin is one of the added ingredients, but I have to use the minimum recommended amount because when I increase it to the middle range of the recommended level, the cat let's me know he does not like the flavor. He gobbled this supplement down when sprinkled on his food without a second glance. If you use this product understand that if your cat is fed a balanced diet, his B12 levels are probably adequate and any excess beyond his needs is simply excreted. So you may be paying for something he just pees out. If he has certain health issues, he may require a B12 supplement but typically shots are the selected route and you should be guided by a vet in those cases. Regarding D-mannose, the level recommended as a preventitive for UTIs is not established. As a treatment for UTIs, the suggested dose varies. If you use this product (which has no dosing recommendations provided) talk with your vet about how much and how often to give it. Or, at the minimum read some scientific (not product) papers on D-mannose and UTIs in cats (while you are at it read about the issues dry cat food can cause). One information paper online written by a vet, recommended 2 grams of D-mannose (as a solo ingredient), given every four hours for an active UTI. One scoop of this power has 1/20th of that individual treatment level for a UTI. Be an educated consumer before you willy nilly give this to your cat. The ingredients are in general safe unless your cat is sensitive to one of them. Because it is a combination supplement, it is probably better to consider it as a preventive versus a treatment, but how much to give is the big question. The statements made in this review are not recommendations for treatment or supplementation of your pet, but rather examples from scientific literature. I will probably only give a scoop once or twice a month, as my cat gets no dry kibble, has no health issues, and is on a balanced diet. I gave it four stars because he did dive into it so the flavor is enticing, it is made in the USA, but there are no dosing recommendations given by the manufacturer (probably because in a healthy cat the individual components of this supplement are not needed or the recommended intake is not known).

My kitty really likes it!
My senior cat is low in B12. I have been supplementing her food once a day with this product for about 3 years. I am so happy she likes it.
