Very Nice Blood Pressure Cuff
I have been taking my blood pressure twice a week for several years now. Previously I manually kept a record of my BP readings in a log so that my doctor could review the info. Recently, I decided to upgrade my old blood pressure monitor to one that synced to an app on my phone to simplify my record keeping and make it even easier to share the info with my doctor. I took a chance on this battery powered BP cuff which is more compact and has no tube running from the device to the cuff. I have been using this BP monitor for several months now and it has proven to be a great choice. The BP readings seem to be very accurate. It was easy to set up and it syncs to the Omron app on my phone which stores the most recent 100 BP readings. You can also record your weight and other health related info in the app. I would buy this BP monitor again.

Consistent and Quality BP Cuff
Excellent quality BP Cuff. Easy to use and provides consistent readings with a clear and easily visible display. Pairs with smart phone and stores readings with the ability to create historical charts and graphs. Very useful. The ability to share the results with my health care provider generates a more informed conversation.

Easy to use and great for tracking blood pressure
This worked so well that I purchased one for my mom first, then another for my dad. It makes it really easy to track and sync blood pressure readings, which is helpful when sharing information with their doctors. It’s very easy to use—just one button—and connects smoothly to the app on iPhones. The design is compact, so it’s easy to store when not in use. Overall, a reliable and convenient option for at-home monitoring.

Great app and clean design, but the instructions could be much clearer
I really like this monitor overall, especially the wireless design and how easily it connects to the app. The setup with the app was simple, and it records everything automatically so I can keep track of my readings and share them with my doctor without writing anything down. That part works exactly how I hoped it would. My main issue is with the instructions and how to properly wear it. The markings on the cuff and the way the unit sits on the arm are not very clear. There is a small dot that seems to line up with the upper arm, but it feels awkward when I put it on, and sometimes the display ends up in a position where I cannot easily see it. Because of that, I sometimes get inconsistent readings and I am not always confident that I positioned it correctly. I looked at the website and even searched for videos, but I could not find a simple, clear demonstration showing exactly how it should be strapped and positioned. For a blood pressure monitor at this price, I expected very clear instructions, since accuracy depends so much on proper placement. If you are comfortable with blood pressure monitors and understand how upper arm cuffs should fit, this is a very convenient and well designed unit, especially with the app integration. Just be prepared to spend some time figuring out the best way to position it for consistent readings.

Design eliminates the hose and is convenient and easy to use
After two weeks of use, I really like this monitor. Its primary stand-out feature is that it does not require a hose between the cuff and the actual mechanical parts -- they are all miniaturized so that they fit on the cuff. This makes it much more convenient to measure your pressure and easier to get into a position for an accurate read. I found the monitor was consistent and accurate as far as I can tell -- much better than my last monitor which would return readings 20 points different at 3 minute intervals. This one returns readings that seem plausible and are consistent. The display is smaller than other monitors, but that is part of the overall miniaturization that makes this monitor good. The display is certainly large enough to read without any trouble. So far it does what I want it to do. I have not implemented the connection with my phone so I cannot comment on that. But it's not important to me. Mostly I just want to be able to measure my pressure easily and accurately and I can manage the results as I want them. This monitor is a step up from my last and meaningfully better. Recommended.

Terrible!
Omron makes great blood pressure monitors but the Evolv is not one of them. I needed a BP monitor to get a handle on my pre-hypertension. I had previously purchased an Omron desktop monitor for my mother and she highly recommended I get a similar one. But I travel a lot and wanted to be able to take it with me on extended trips. Being a gadget nerd and Apple fan, I decided to get a more modern BP monitor that connects wirelessly to my iPhone. There are several wireless devices on the market but I decided to go with the Evolv which I thought would be the leader of the pack. I couldn’t have been more wrong. A traditional BP monitor such as the Omron desktop monitor consists of two parts: the sleeve and the desktop box and they’re connected with a tube. The Evolv is only one physical piece, the sleeve, which also holds the electronics that traditionally is housed in the desktop box. The sleeve then connects wirelessly to an app on the smartphone. Problem is that the app is terrible in every way. It’s so badly designed that it’s embarrassing to even look at it, and when you open the app on your phone you’re greeted to a page full of ads for Omron’s other devices. To use this incompetently designed app you tap it to sync it with the sleeve. But most of the time the sync fails telling me that the device could not be found or there was no data to be imported. It also takes a very long time to sync. C’mon people this is 2018! This is the age of the Apple watch with built-in ECG! The readings should update automatically on the smartphone and in real-time. Once the readings are successfully transferred to your phone there isn’t much else happening. The stats in the app are so badly presented they’re practically useless. And if you want to save your readings for the future they ask you to pay a subscription fee of $100 annually. Yes, you read that right. They want you to pay, annually, more than the device cost to purchase only to save your historical data. Even though the app was useless I thought I’d keep the Evolv because it looks nice and it’s easy to pack when traveling. I would then enter the readings manually in my favorite app by Withings. But there is no way to access the readings manually on the sleeve the way you can do it on a desktop monitor. After the BP is taken the screen flashes a few moments then it goes dark. After it goes dark you can’t go back to see what the reading was unless you use the awful app on your phone. And why does the screen flash? It flashes between the BP reading and the pulse reading. Huh? Just watching the flashing makes my BP rise. Why, Omron, does it have to flash? Just put the pulse reading on the same panel as the BP reading and DON’T flash the damn thing! The sleeve was pretty cumbersome to put on compared to a traditional Omron sleeve and was not very comfortable. The only thing I found positive with the Evolv was the sleek design. I noticed, though, that the Evolv sold in Europe is all black. Why isn’t the black unit available in the US? I quickly returned the Evolv and purchased an Omron series 10. What a difference that made. The series 10 is truly the Rolls Royce of BP monitors. It’s very accurate and the sleeve is easy to slip on and very comfortable to wear. I’m so happy I made the change! I enter the readings manually in the Withings app on my iPhone but it’s actually quicker than trying to sync the Evolv. Bottom line: The Evolv wireless BP monitor may be the way of the future but the design is still in its infancy. It also needs a professional app and not some amateurish half-baked attempt at an app. And nobody should be lured into paying $100/year to store historical data, that should be free! If you need a trustworthy BP monitor get a desktop device like the Omron series 10. It’s ugly and looks like it was designed in the fifties but it does the job very well. I can highly recommend an app called iBP for charts to send to your doctor. You can either enter the readings manually in iBP or sync it with Withings or Apple health. It’s available for Android as well. The charts are just awesome and I have not been able to find a better app for getting the stats down in a presentable format.

Compact and Easy-to-Use
The OMRON Evolv Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor is a compact and very easy-to-use device. Setting it up was a bit confusing at first because, although the Mexico version (black) and the US version look identical, they are different models, and you need to select the correct one in the app for the Bluetooth to work properly. Once that’s done, everything works perfectly. I like that results are automatically sent to the app, allowing you to keep a complete history of your readings without any hassle. The design is sleek and portable, making it convenient to have on hand at any time. The only thing that could be improved is that it doesn’t come with a carrying case, which would be useful for safe storage and transport. Overall, it’s a precise, comfortable, and very practical monitor, especially if you want to keep a digital record of your blood pressure.

Best BP apparatus in the market
Best BP machine in the market. Most importantly it is very accurate and the readings matches the doctors bp apparatus. Yes it is expensive, but most of the cheaper models are not accurate. The Bluetooth connection is flawless and the readings sync with your phone (have tried only on Apple iPhone) and the health app on iPhone. The app is basic but that’s what’s needed - a place where all readings can be stored. The cuff is moulded and is very easy to put on by self if others are not around. The app also notifies for any arrhythmias (like afib, pvcs etc). Very easy to carry around while travelling. The photo shows the machine in white colour but received a full black one (thanks for that). A must have instrument for all hypertensive patients, or even others who want to keep a check on their BP.

Quick and Easy to use
This is a great little blood pressure reader. Super easy to use, well built, and accurate. You set this up with the Omron app, which it is important to select the correct model, otherwise it won’t sync and register. Once registered, it will send data to the app after each reading and maintains a log which can be exported to give to a health professional if required. It applies quite a bit of pressure to the arm in order to get the reading, but the only thing you need to do is push the start button, sit still, and relax.
