Incredibly Entertaining
I picked up Ransom Notes for game nights with friends. We were looking for something quick, easy to play, and guaranteed to get laughs when people are tired of the same old card games. We played with 5 of us on a Friday night: players pull random magnets, draw a prompt (like “Tell someone you've clogged their toilet at a party”), and scramble to build the funniest sentence. It took under a minute for everyone to get the hang of it. Pros Instantly funny, even with people who don’t consider themselves “game-night kind of people.” Incredibly easy to learn; there are no complicated rules or long instructions. Endless replayability thanks to 840 magnets + 250 prompts. Great for group settings or parties; works well even with larger groups if you team up. Compact packaging: very easy to store or throw in a bag for travel. Cons / what to know Humor leans toward absurd and sometimes crass. If you’re playing with kids or more conservative folks, you might want to pre-screen / skip certain prompts. Some magnets feel a little small if you prefer larger print / words. This could be tricky under dim lighting or for folks with large hands. For a tight group of 2–3 people, the game is less fun; best with 4–6+ players. Especially good for game nights, holiday get-togethers, or just killing time with friends. Definitely recommend!

Extremely fun
Cards against humanity meets mad libs. My 24 year old son and I adapted the game for 2 players and had a great holiday afternoon playing. There are several suggestions for game adaptations and it's very easy and hilarious to play. Our favorite responses came together like a short, two chapter tale following the single prompt: "describe the history of humanity": "UFO releases rogue beast. Darkness." "We grunt bro." The only negatives are that the word magnets are challenging for a person with joint pain or hand related mobility issues to take apart, and they are kinda low quality with just an unprotected paper front that wants to separate from the magnet backing as you separate them from each other, and that I predict will fade very quickly with use. The good news is that the words can easily be replaced with adhesive printer labels. But it would be nice (especially for the price of this game) if they were just made better and if you didn't have to spend a painful laborious hour to separate them in the first place. Now that the words are all apart, I think we will play this game quite often and I look forward to playing with a larger group as well. Edit to add that we have since played the game with a larger group, including my 13 year old nephew and would like to add that while the structure of the game play is similar to cards against humanity, my sister pointed out that this game is better because it is suitable for younger players as well. There are a few prompts that might be iffy, but you can always skip or exclude them easily and without reducing your game quality.

Super fun!
I ordered this as a fun party game. We’ve played a couple times now and had a blast. What makes it great for parties is that it’s simple enough to easily explain to folks who haven’t played before. They pick it up easily and are comfortable after just the first round. The ad says the game is for 3 to 6 players, but you could easily make it work for 7 or 8 players by providing your own steel surfaces for the magnets such as metal cake or pie pans. It comes with a ton of prompt cards, so I don’t think we will ever get tired of it. The trays for the magnets are steel, so they are very durable. The words are printed labels affixed to sheet magnets which are then stamped most of the way through but need to be pulled apart before you can play for the first time. I see that other reviewers had trouble pulling them apart but we didn’t have any issues. Somewhere I read that games go from 30 to 90 minutes on average. We have played for over an hour and didn’t “finish” because we spent too much time laughing, but that’s a good thing.

Fun for Mixed Ages but Setup Takes Time
This game is genuinely funny once you get going. We had a wide age range playing, from 12 to over 60, and everyone was able to participate and laugh. It works well for mixed groups and different personalities. The biggest downside is setup. It takes a while to separate and organize everything before you can actually start playing. If someone wants to sort or arrange the pieces in a certain way, it adds even more time. Because of that, we do not pull it out as often as we probably would otherwise. If you do not mind a longer setup, it is a fun group activity. Just plan for the extra time before gameplay actually begins.

Love this hilarious game
This game is so much fun and great for gifts and groups. The quality of the cards and magnets is good. The balance between choice and creativity in this game is perfect, it’s similar to cards against humanities but gives you a little more freedom to create your answer without the anxiety of you having to completely make up answers.

Amazing game!
Bought this game after seeing a few ads on social media. I figured they were cherry-picking the good prompt cards and word combinations, but BOY was I wrong! The sheer number of cards and word magnets they've packed into this little box is insane! I didn't even realize I ordered the expansion pack as well, which comes with everything still in the plastic packaging in my picture. INSANE bang for your buck, I can't recommend this game enough. The creators, Evan and Josh, also leave a nice note in the box offering to replace any misprinted or damaged components. The only thing I have to say about it that isn't explicitly positive is that the magnets come in these sheets (which I found very satisfying to break apart), and that could be difficult for people with certain disabilities. All in all, seems like an incredible game made by some incredible people, and I'm SO thrilled for game night with my friends!

fun game if your players are quick-witted
a few of us had a blast playing this game, others not so much! LOL! you definitely need a quick wit and be a fast reader for this one. the idea of the game is great and the play can be a lot of fun. like how we play CAH, we did not keep any scores, but just enjoyed the silliness and stuff. good times can be had.

Family fun - lots of laughs!
I bought Ransom Notes for family game nights, and it's been a great addition to our collection. My kids absolutely loved creating silly sentences with the word magnets. How It Works: Players use word magnets to answer prompts by creating ransom note-style responses. The limitation of available words forces creative (and often hilarious) solutions. It's simple enough that everyone grasps it immediately. Family Appeal: This worked brilliantly across different ages in our household. The kids enjoyed the silliness and freedom to be creative, while the adults appreciated the clever wordplay and unexpected combinations that emerged. Everyone was laughing, which is really all you want from a family game. Replayability: With different word magnets each round and various prompts, games feel fresh each time we play. We've brought it out multiple times since purchasing, and it hasn't gotten stale yet. Player Count: Works well with 3+ players as advertised. We've played with anywhere from 4 to 7 people, and it's been engaging at all group sizes. The more players, the more variety in responses. Easy to Understand: No complicated rules to learn or teach. Set up is quick, explanations take minutes, and you're playing almost immediately. Perfect for when you just want to jump into something fun without lengthy instructions. Quality: The magnets are decent quality and the board works well. Everything feels sturdy enough to withstand regular family use, including enthusiastic kids handling the pieces. The Laughter Factor: Watching my kids craft absurd sentences within the constraints of the available words was genuinely entertaining. There's something about the limitation that brings out creativity and humor in unexpected ways. Overall: A genuinely fun party game that delivered family entertainment and lots of laughs. If you want something lighthearted that gets everyone involved and giggling, this is an excellent choice. My kids keep asking to play it again, which is the best recommendation I can give.

Spass für Alle
Unterhaltsames Spiel, wenn Sie Cards Against Humanity oder Ähnliches mögen. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass dieses Spiel meiner Meinung nach viel langsamer und weniger lustig ist.
