Why isn’t the drive recognized?

Reconnect the drive directly to a compatible USB-A port and check whether it appears in the device’s file manager or disk-management utility. TVs and car audio systems may have additional capacity and file-system limitations.

Why can’t I copy a file larger than 4GB?

The drive may be formatted as FAT32. Back up all data before reformatting to a compatible file system such as exFAT. Reformatting erases the drive.

Can I use it with a USB 2.0 port?

Yes. The drive is backward compatible with USB 2.0, but transfer speed will be limited by the connected port.

Why is the available capacity lower?

Manufacturers and operating systems use different methods to calculate capacity, and some space is used for formatting and system functions.
