Best phone on the market with sd card/headphone jack
So far I am loving the Xperia 1 III. The front camera is better than the rear of my old phone (LG V60, another great phone though), the three rear cameras are also very versatile and have a great optical zoom (up to 4.4x). My only complaint is the battery is smaller at 4500mAh so if you're gonna be using it all day you better be sure it's 100% when you leave the house. You can however turn the refresh down to 60hz to save a bit of power, but stamina mode works well to keep the phone going in an emergency. Fingerprint scanner works the best of any phone or computer I've had. Never fails to read. Very fast and responsive, calls sound great and the speakers are better than some laptops. I'm sure the 1 IV is even better but for now if you don't want to spend $1000+ for a phone, this is your best choice. Also, phone is fully unlocked and works great on Verizon and tmobile networks, I've personally tested on both.

Best Specs and value for Money
Since switching from Samsung, I find the Xperia's interface and performance superior. Throughout my area, the 5G signal is strong and stable. In my opinion, the battery life is excellent as well as the Sony stamina battery mode. It is indeed the best camera I have ever used on a smartphone. One of the best lenses out there is the Zeiss lens, which can switch between wide-angle and telephoto with one tap. It is impressive both in terms of the quality of the picture and the video. Similar to the alpha camera, the camera interface is easy to use. I find the shape of the Xperia phone is way better on my hand as compared to Samsung which is fat and stubby. Overall, this phone is the most underrated and impressive on the market. It never makes sense to me why most mobile service retailers do not carry them.

This phone rocks.
This is definitely an upgrade to what I had previously in terms fit, finish, and features for the most part. Two things I did notice right away, I thought would be an industry standard are the face recognition and VoLTE features, which this flagship doesn't have as options. The face recognition I could live without, but the VoLTE voice feature is something I definitely miss, especially in an area where I don't get good cell reception. I'm still learning more about this phone, but I like the feel of the phone, it's a nice size, although a little heavy, and a tad bit of a battery consumer.

Great Phone 2021, issues in 2023
This is a very good phone over all. Pricey but everything is here. Headphone jack, 30W charger, decent camera, front firing speakers, notification light, slim 21:9 size, 4k display, fast charging, fingerprint reader, 5G. Cons: Things i don't like so far is the front firing speakers don't sound all that great for the money, Samsung Galaxy lastest phone had louder better sounding speakers. The front camera also isn't the best quality. So if your a selfie addict it will disappoint you. The ability to lower your resolution to conserve power. My Galaxy S10 plus had this feature and was great when i knew I wouldn't be able to charge my phone for 2 days. Camera isn't very amateur friendly either. It's a good camera but it's not "point and shoot" like iPhones. You have to have a good understanding of camera settings to really unlock the potential of this phones camera, when you do, the pictures come out very good. I will stick to buying Sony phones so as long as they keep all the consumer friendly features it seems like they are the last company doing so. [2023 UPDATE] My fingerprint reader randomly stopped working. At first it took several tries to unlock, then after a few days it would just not even be an option for unlocking, restarting phone would usually make it work again for about 5 attempts then revert to not even showing up on the lock screen anymore. Now it's been 2 weeks and have spoken with support, it's completely gone. Not even resetting the phone will make it work. I strongly believe it's most likely a software update issue. Until they fix this issue I will no be returning to Sony.

So far so good
I purchased this Sony Xperia 1 III from Sony USA in July 2021 and have been using it with T-mobile. The phone is currently on Android 13 and according to Sony this is the last Android upgrade. It arrived with Android 11 and it had some issues freezing and after couple of updates it got fixed, no issues while running Android 12 or now with Android 13. Main reason I purchased this phone was for its camera capabilities and it has proven to be a great phone camera vs some cameras that could not capture ultraviolet/purple colors pictures. I used this phone on a many trips in USA and for international I add extra data package and while running apps for trains, buses, airports, hotels, airlines, maps, phone calls and pictures, this phone has performed flawlessly. I won't have to take a dedicated camera for taking pictures as this Sony simply does it all and since its unlocked phone it can be used with any GSM carrier that supports it if needed. I use a clear Spigen case and a Sony hard case for times where I need to sit the phone up and watch Netflix or play a games without over heating by either of cases. Bottom line: It's an elegant phone as its constructed of Glass front & back and aluminum frame keeping the phone look new as long as its taken care of. I have no regrets buying this 5G phone which has proven to function in many situation while running multiple apps and lasting battery.

Full of bugs
I purchased this phone for the CoD points for CoD Mobile. Didn't get anything at all. Now I can't change the app permission settings. The touchpad freezes everytime I get to the settings. The Xperia One was already bad enough, and now this. Never trust the online reviews. They are either sponsored, or done by Sony employees. Disgusting

Good phone
Overall I am satisfied but way to expensive for what u get. The camera lacks a space zoom, the camera lacks night mode which most phone cameras have now. Battery life is good, very light weight phone, camera works well.
