Good Inserts!
I bought a new lathe tool recently and these inserts are much better than the ones that came with the tool. They cut mild steel well and they leave a nice finish.

Not 1/2 Inch as Advertised
Decent quality, but if you are expecting 1/2 inch you will be disappointed. This tool is 12mm. Close but no cigar. Will still probably fit most 1/2 boring bar tool post holders, but worth noting.

It’s 12 mm , not 1/2”
Just be aware, this is not a 1/2 diameter boring Bar, it is 12mm. A lot of product on the internet is stated in inches and is not. I bought this for a fixed bore 1/2” sleeve. It is no good for that. It is nice quality, so I will keep it for manual machine use

Coating is very thin
These are perhaps worth what you pay for them, but they are really not that good. They are 4x cheaper than comparable "cheap" inserts from zcc-ct or oscarbide but they wear out at least 4x faster. Overall I would probably not recommend them. Spend just a little bit more and you will get a jump in quality. The coating on these is matte (it's meant to be shiny) and rough. It's also very thin and wears off within 15 min of cutting

Not great quality..
Cheap but they don't last. Can hardly finish a single cut without it chipping or going dull. Maybe good for aluminum but that's about it.
