Przewalski Men’s 3D Padded Cycling Bib Shorts Bicycle Biking Bib Tights

Decided to make the shift to Bibs from bike shorts. I looked over the offerings on Amazon and ordered three different brands, these, Santic, and Ceroti. After trying on each in medium and large settled on the Przewalskis. At least for my body type these fit the best, and I was impressed with the good and even compression and feel of their bibs over the others. The fabric feels very well made and I noticed no seam rubs or other discomforts with them. And the padding also felt the best. You never really know for sure until you ride with them, of course, and I've now been out with these on about 6 rides and about 200 miles. The longest ride was 41 miles. They have worked out great so far. More comfortable than my best biking shorts and no problems - at least at this distance. I can't tell you how these would be on a century ride but for my typical 25-45 mile rides these have been great. I ordered a second pair. FYI, I'm about 165, pretty lean, and a bit over 5'10". Tried both medium and large, and could have gone with either but chose the mediums for a little more compression and have been happy. As to the other bibs, the Santics just didn't feel as good. Their seams weren't as smooth and their panels were cut differently and didn't feel as good or have the same, even compression. The Cerotis, which were somewhat more expensive, also didn't feel quite as good - although I really liked the small pockets on each leg (the Santic also had one leg pocket). I probably would have kept a pair of them, but the design of the bibs seemed fated to fail over time as the top half of the bib was a different white fabric with a stitched seam around the waist, and it already looked like it was about to tear apart at a couple points from the stress on that seam. I liked the unified layout of the panels on the Przewalskis much better. The panels flow into the upper part, which to me seemed more comfortable, better looking, and far less prone to failure over time due to wear. If my experience with these bibs changes significantly over time I will update this review. But for now I heartily recommend them - a great value at $36. The only thing I would change would be to add a version with a leg pocket for those that would want one.

Have many hours in the saddle wearing standard cycling shorts, but this is my first bib. Why oh why have I not switched before now? Initial impressions, will update if any major changes: seams all intact, complete, no loose threads; thigh grip strips appear just right; pad is perfect, chamois-thin at edges but padded and flexible where needed, seams are flush, this expect zero chafing; suspenders thin and breathable and support the shorts with perfect tension without pulling or binding on shoulders; overall feel is ridiculously and unbelievably comfortable. Have a 30-mile ride in a couple of days; if the initial impression holds up, then I’ll buy another bib that same afternoon. Some have said these fit tight, but that is not my initial experience. I purchased large per sizing chart, and fit is not as snug as expected. I’m accustomed to a slightly tighter fit, but don’t want to risk suspenders binding because they’re too short. So will go with these and see how they wear on the road, and over time. Bottom line; initial impressions are very favorable for quality and value. This is especially high praise coming from someone with CDO. ( It’s like OCD, but the letters are in proper alphabetical order.). UPDATE: Initial favorable impressions have held up over a year or so. Recently purchased second bib, same size. Current sizing seems consistent with first purchase. Chamois may even be slightly more comfortable. Highly recommend. SIX-YEAR UPDATE: Everything above still holds true. These have become my go-to bibs. I’ve purchased several more over the years, and in a couple of different colors for a bit of variety. They may be slightly less durable more expensive bibs. Maybe. (Or maybe my wife is being extra careful that I don’t flash other riders. e.g., When the bib gets thin enough that as my wife is cycling behind me she says ‘hey, the way the sun is shining lets people see too much, so it’s time for those to go and time for you to order another’) However, the cost-benefit equation works very well for me.

Ok, so my expectations for this product were low. I usually bite the bullet and pay for more premium bibs but with these I was just looking for something to wear while on my indoor trainer so I didn't wear out my nicer bibs. My metrics: 5'10" (1.78m) / 200 lbs (90kg) Ordered both an XL and L. I got the XL first and it felt a bit on the big side. The L felt much better. I would say the sizing is more typical of American sizing than European. Material. The material seems pretty sturdy and is on the thicker side but not winter thick. I would classify these more of a spring/fall bib though you could get away with summer riding if you don't live in extremely hot locations. The front of the bib it pretty high and covers the belly button and would do a good job of holding back one with a bit of a belly. The back also has quite a bit of material but is still comfortable. There is a tag in the back that I ended up cutting off. Overall I am impressed with the material at this price point. I've bought other bibs in this price range and after a few months of use they thin-out and anyone sitting on my wheel gets to view the top of my backside (that's why I pay for better bibs now). I don't get the impression that these will suffer the same fate. Shoulder straps. They are about 2.5 inches wide and are neither great or bad. They are wide enough that they don't dig into your shoulders which is nice. Shammy. I expected this to be pure garbage but again, I was presently surprised. They are not the best but way better than anything else I've seen at this price point. Don't get me wrong there will not compare to a pair of $200 bibs but they are ok. Overall. Like I said before, for the price point you would be hard pressed to find anything better, especially if you just need a workhorse pair of bibs for indoor and training rides. Hope this helps!

I was extremely skeptical, given the insanely low price of these bibs compared to the other bibs I own (which are all in the $100-$125 range). After my first test however, I think I might be a believer. Here's a little bit about me. I'm 6'4", and carrying about 25 lbs more than I should be at the moment, clocking in between 220-230. I'm a size 34-36 waist, and the XL fit perfectly. I am not a competitive cyclist, rather, there are two or three rides I do every year, ranging from one-day rides between 30 and 70 miles, and my annual 3-day, 200 mile ride (CowaLUNGa). That three-day ride is the reason I bought these bibs, because I only recently discovered the joy of bib shorts over regular shorts, and only had two pair in my collection (Bontrager and Pearl Izumi). I saw the price of these and decided to try them out to see if they were any good. I usually do all of my training indoors, with my bike up on the indoor trainer - but I still suit up (and lube up) as if I were riding outside, because I'll put anywhere from 15-30 miles in over the course of an hour or two and, let's face it, even indoors you need to wear the right equipment to ward off saddle sores. Last night was my first ride in these shorts and I went for just over an hour at an average cadence of 98 rpm - in other words, not a leisurely ride.Last night was the first time this year that I didn't have to shift my position on the seat because my sit bones were getting too sore (I have an Adamo Prologue, which is forked to give your taint a rest, but increases the pressure on your sit bones instead). I went a full 16 miles without having to stand or shift forward or backward - something I normally do at least once or twice on any ride longer than 30-45 minutes. With that alone, I was impressed. Combine that with the apparent quality of the materials, stitching, etc., and I'm convinced that they have well-trained 5 year olds putting these things together in some sweatshop to keep the prices as low as they are - because these are easily just as good as my $125 Bontrager bibs.

I purchased two pair of the Przewalski Men’s 3D Padded Cycling Bike Bib Shorts for a recent 5-day, 300 mile road bike ride along the Southern California coast. I own another brand of inexpensive bib shorts, as well as several different brands of budget regular riding shorts, none of which have proven particularly comfortable for rides over 40 miles. After visiting my LBS's and balking at the idea of paying $80-$130 for new brand-name shorts, I decided to give the Przewalski bib shorts a try, based on the highly favorable reviews. Long story short, of the three brands of shorts I wore on the ride, the Przewalski's were the only shorts that kept me comfortable through an entire day's ride. I wore them for two 60+ mile legs and these were the two days I felt I could have kept riding without discomfort for another 25-30 miles. The bib shorts fit me perfectly, with no chafe and no slippage in the legs. I used chamois cream which helped prevent chafe but did not impede the shorts breathability, so I wasn't sweating unduly. The overall quality of the bib shorts appears quite good, but time will tell with regards to durability. All in all, I am quite satisfied with the Przewalski bib shorts and will definitely purchase more of them in future, if necessary.

I've picked up 3 sets of Przewalksi bib shorts now and am pretty happy with them, at least when I get them on sale for a little over twenty bucks. At their approximately forty dollar price right now, they are much less of a good deal. The chamois is comfortable for short to intermediate rides but anything beyond about 2 hours is pushing it with this padding. The padding also seems to wear a bit faster than expensive brand-name bibs, but at 1/5th to 1/10th the cost, you can afford to replace them. I do wish these had a phone pocket on them, but I see they have now added a model with pockets. it is more expensive, though. On comfort and performance, I would give these 4 stars, but taking value into account, I am bumping that up to 5.

I have been cycling for a few years and am in need of updating my riding wardrobe. I ordered these bibs in hopes of using them on my shorter, more frequent rides. I am still looking for bibs to use on longer rides. I will review these bibs over 3 rides, so it will be little long. -If you don't have time to read the whole post: Overall they are quality bibs, great price and be aware that they might feel a little 'rough' on initial rides but will soften up with use. Definitely recommend them. When I received the bibs, my first impression was that they were very well made, the stitching seemed strong and I didn't notice any 'rough spots'. The padding seemed a little thick on initial inspection but I threw them in the wash in an attempt to 'soften' everything up. My first ride with these bibs was a 20 mile ride. The fit was great, they were very supportive and even throughout my body. The straps are very comfortable and keep the bib in place. The pad still felt a little thick but I hoped that it would flatten out with the ride. Initial feel was a good but several miles into the ride I felt some pressure points on the chamois pad and the overall feeling was still thick. I tried adjusting but the feeling persisted. The straps maintained a very comfortable feel. The rest of the garment was very comfortable and supportive. The leg grips are effective and comfortable. So on my first ride the feeling was great but had some 'rough spots' on the pad. After a wash, my second ride was also approx. 20 miles. The feeling was similar and the 'rough spots' were still there. The pad did seem to flatten out a bit and was not as bulky as the first ride. Yesterday I went on a 20 mile ride and the 'rough spots' were no longer there. The pad felt much flatter and more comfortable. I wonder if they just needed a couple of washes and some 'breaking in'. Either way, I am very happy with these bibs. The price is great! I have Castelli bibs, PI and a few other brands and these are very comparable to those brands on these shorter rides. I definitely recommend this brand and will be looking out for other of their products.

These are very economical, light weight bib shorts that do the job particularly for summer use. Compared to brand name bib shorts, these are a no brainer unless you feel it necessary to spend $150-$250 for bibs that will wear out just as quick. Do yourself a favor, spend the $40 and try ‘em. Now I’m about 5’8” 185 lbs. and use the size large. Gives me just a bit of extra room so they don’t feel restrictive. I have a couple pair of P.I. bibs that cost me way more and they seem to wear quicker in the crotch, not as comfortable, and left a lot less in my wallet. Put things into perspective here, and do yourself a favor. Take the $100 you saved and put it in your Roth IRA. Highly recommended.

Fahrradhose machte erst einen einigermaßen guten Eindruck. Aber beim anprobieren war ich dann doch sehr enttäuscht. Bestellt hatte ich Größe XL obwohl ich sonst L trage. Aber die Größe war noch nichtmal L. Habe dann in XXL bestellt, aber die Größe hat sich nicht verändert. Also unbrauchbar.

Very comfortable. After I tried the first pair, I immediately bought a second pair. The fit was perfect, all the stitching is top notch and the compression in the legs is very good. Recommend this item.
