Can you see small jewelers marks like 14kt g or gf?

I can see the very small mint marks on coins. It works well.

Light went out after one month. is it possible to change the battery? if not, then this product is no good.

There should have been three spare button batteries included with the loupe (model AG7). On the body of the loupe there is a Close Open indicator. The body splits just above the area that has the ridges. Hope that helps. By the way, as you know there are two lights so I always have to be careful to click twice so as not leave the blue one on since it is not as visible.
