Does it have a smell?

It has only a very faint smell, I believe from the argan oil maybe. You’re likely only going to smell it if you put your nose right up to it. There’s no fragrance added.

Will this help with vertically splitting nails?

I have splitting nails, and they are not repaired yet. Nails can take a lot of time to heal, so I am not sure if this product will help in that way. My nails are better overall though, so I will give them some more time.

Do I use the oil before or after applying the nail polish?

You can use it before, but then you need to clean your nails as in a manicure/pedicure salon with nail polish remover or alcohol, something to remove the oil from the nail. Or you can use it after. It's a personal choice.

Pretty sure it is. Not really sure why gluten would be in a cuticle oil. However the ingredients are listed in the description for you to review.
