I bought these and an alternate brand for drill 12 holes through thick plate steel. The other brand (which had a piloting tip) took 2 bits to complete one hole. Ugh, I thought my project was going to be a problem. After the 2 bits of the other brand were done, I switched to this one. Wow, 11 holes with these 3 bits, no problem!!! I could have drilled a few more holes. Lots of value here!!! Strong cutting bits!! works great with cutting oil.

For the price point these were a decent choice. I used these to drill through a set of leaf springs on an F150. Trust me there a hardened steel. These worked, but you will have to keep the RPM LOW and constantly oiled.

Always wise to have extra drill bits on hand in case one breaks or dulls. I now buy individual bits in multiples instead of sets. I also use the size bit the job calls for. This is more efficient and the end product always turns out well. I found these bits sharp and of sufficiently good quality. I only used them in wood but they were sharp. In the hand drill they were easy to control and accuracy was fine.

These are as described. They do not work well on hard metal but are fine otherwise. They do tend to want to walk slightly when starting a hole. It is better to start the hole with a punch & then drill it.

I was not able to get these to penetrate hardened steel. However, I did have luck using them on mild steel and they seem to work fine for that purpose. Nice that they come in a decent case. While dissapointed that I was not able to use them as intended, they are still a good value for metal work.

Very useful, and many deferent drill bits to choose from , they don't break easily.

These bits came really sticky, cleaned them up and was blown away. These are the sharpest, most aggressive cutting bits i've ever used. I used these to bore out some existing 1/2" holes in 1/4" A36 mild steel, the first hole I drilled like I do with Bosch M35s and it immediately grabbed and sucked the bit through in one second what typically would take 15-20 seconds of effort. Because of this, the sides of the flute took some noticeable scuffing but nothing that impacted the cutting ability. Once I developed a lighter touch with these they became amazing bits. Even was able to ream out final fit holes through 2x 1/4" steel plate with 2.75" of plywood in the middle with no problem. If your using these with steel make sure to get some Tap Magic and use judiciously. Then hang on for dear life and try not to let the flutes bite and gouge or you will be hurting. Not 100% sure about long term durability but I drilled 8 holes in the aft mentioned steel plates then reamed them out with the same bit, no signs of dulling yet but the finish did start wearing off. Didn't use the second bit yet. For the price these can't be beat.

Was able to drill 2 ford super duty knuckles for cross over steering kit. Worked well.
