Security
This is a very nice piece of machinery. Installing the wheels and feet took less than 5 minutes. The piece of foam padding in the box makes a nice kneeling pad while you're adding the oil (included). They include a spark plug wrench and an open end wrench in a tool bag. The oil capacity is 1.16 quarts. Oil comes in quarts so keep in mind that .16 quarts is a little under 3/4 of a cup. I added some gasoline and used the remote to start it. It started on the third cycle. I am super glad that I didn't have to pull the cord and am glad for the electric starter. The user manual is very well written with proper English grammar and spelling. The warnings are a little repetitive but you need to heed the warnings so that you don't kill yourself or someone else. This exact brand and model is rated as the best generator by Consumer Reports and Popular Mechanics which gave me confidence in my purchase. The ease of starting it, the quality of the brand reputation, and the quality of the generator itself gives me a sense of security. I live in a rural area that is forested and we have enough power outages that this will pay for itself by not having to suffer the inconvenience of no electricity. Be aware that the generator looses some efficiency at higher altitudes. The manual recommends that if you are over 2,000 feet above sea level that you should install the "high altitude kit". I'm at 1,600 ft ASL so I'm good but I was curious to know what that kit is and what installation looked like. It's a few gaskets, an orifice and costs about $15.00. Westinghouse has a very good step-by-step YouTube video showing you how the installation goes which. Installation require any special tools and little mechanical ability. Looks like it would take about 20 minutes to complete. If you're at a higher altitude, be sure to order the appropriate kit with your generator so that you're ready to roll when it's delivered. Delivery from Amazon was a pain. The first one "got lost". So a week later, another was delivered. This happened to me with a desktop computer not too long ago. I think there must be a thief somewhere in the supply chain. They give you a 12 hour time window 8am-8pm that someone has to be home to receive the delivery. Amazon said that the delivery driver would call before they came...they didn't. This unit is well over 200 pounds so you want to keep that in mind. It rolls easily once assembled.

Great generator for a fair price
Super easy to get set up. Thing looks flawless. Delivered with care in a package that was clearly not destroyed by the commute. Runs great. Power is more than I need. It fit perfectly into my outside storage.

Serious Backup Power With Remote Start Convenience
I bought this 12,500 (peak) watt dual fuel generator to keep most of my house running during outages, and after getting it set up, I can say I should have done this years ago. This thing is a beast in the best possible way. While larger than expected, the wheels and stiff frame make it easy to move around even as a small guy with a mild disability! My partner handled the assembly and said it was straightforward. Wheels on, feet attached, battery hooked up, oil in, done. It fired up right away with the push button start and the remote fob worked perfectly out of the box. No syncing, no charging, no messing around. I can start it from inside the house, which feels slightly indulgent but also incredibly practical when it is freezing outside. Loud; yes. But honestly not as loud as a couple of my neighbors’ units, and it has a deeper steady hum rather than that high pitched scream some generators have. I am following the recommended break in process, slowly varying the load over the first few hours and not pushing it too hard. So far it runs incredably smooth. The fuel tank is generous, and I like that I can realistically fill it up once a day during an extended outage. My plan is to shut it down overnight when we are sleeping and when the house is not pulling much power, then fire it back up in the morning. It has more than enough muscle to run my well pump and water heater at the same time, plus keep the fridge and spare freezer cold so we are not throwing away food. That peace of mind alone is worth it. I went with this model over some cheaper options because I wanted the reputation and the longer warranty. It feels solid and well built, not flimsy in any way. I will be running ethanol free fuel only and I picked up a running tent to protect it in bad weather. Protect the investment so it protects me, right? A couple small nitpicks. The manual mentions an Eco switch, which this version apparently does not have. Not a huge deal, just confusing. Also the spine on the user manual is terrible and all the pages are falling out already, which is kind of funny considering how well built the generator itself is. Neither issue affects performance at all. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase. Strong output, easy starting, dual fuel flexibility, and that remote fob is just plain awesome. If you want serious backup power and are tired of worrying every time the lights flicker, this is a solid choice. Wish I bought one sooner.

Excellent product so far, make sure to read the documentation
Our generator arrived yesterday, with freight delivery from Amazon. The box had some minor dings and bruises, and came strapped to a small pallet. Despite the dings to the box the unit was in spectacular condition upon arrival. The unit is a beast, and is super rugged. I was actually kind of amazed at how little wear it accumulated during shipping given its weight and size. It was larger than I expected. The first thing I would recommend you do is actually opening up all of the documentation and read through it. Seriously. All of it. The quick start guide has info that the main documentation lacks or contains but is unclear. The main manual has info the quick start guide lacks. Between the two of them every question I had about the unit was answered. Including how to unbox the unit safely. It weighs 200lbs and doesn't come with the wheels or feet attached, so that's important. To unbox you need to remove as many accessories as you can and then destroy the shipping box. I was a bit concerned since I didn't want to wreck the box in case of an issue. But this is one of those "don't return to store, call us" scenarios, and their instructions clearly state to cut the corners of the box. So have a box cutter/utility knife handy. Our original plan had been to unbox the generator in our driveway and then wheel it into our carport. Sadly since it turns out that the unit ships without the wheels or feet attached, so we had to quickly adjust and put them on. I would recommend a friend or family member being available for this. But once they are on, it is very easy to move around. Just note that this is the one place I saw conflicting info from the guide. The guide shows that there should be nuts to hold the feet in place. There aren't, they are welded to the mount point. Don't waste time looking for the nuts indicated in the picture in the parts bag, they aren't there. From there you just need to add engine oil (they provide 10w-30 for breaking it in), connect the battery, and add a fuel source. The oil dipstick is functional, but the yellow material could be a little hard to read if you are used to metal ones from a car. We connected a 30lb LPG canister with the included hose and it started right up. We plugged in a lamp to test, and it worked great. Noisy, but I mean, it's a generator. What do you expect? It's going to make noise. You're supposed to break it in for 5 hours at half capacity before really running at full load, so we will be doing that later this week. My only gripes are: the wheels weren't attached, you need to destroy the box, and the main user guide is so information dense that it can be hard to find everything and it can feel overwhelming (the quick start guide is a great remedy for that). The only other issue is that labeling the spark plug wrench would have been helpful because it really wasn't clear what it was for at first until I read through the guide and found the part list, and ID'd everything else. These are minor quibbles compared to everything else that is just right. The unit feels super sturdy, looks great, and appears to deliver on all of its promises. I'm looking forward to not having to replace a fridge and freezer worth of food the next time we lose power for days!

Worked great other than the bad battery we received.
We ordered the generator 11/19/2024. It arrived promptly and intact. We, unfortunately did not complete the set-up until May of 2025 as we had not needed to use it prior to that. When we did get it set-up (which was a very easy process), it would not start. We called service and they indicated we would have to drive our brand new unit to a location over an hour away to get any answers. We ended up finding out that it was sent with a bad battery. We were able to hook the battery up to our car and it started immediately. We had to jump it the next 3 times (as our power were out for over 3 days) and the last few times it has started fine. One tank of gas ran the generator for over 10 hours, which was nice. Starting it is very easy (with a functional battery). We are just coming out of the power outage and will be contacting Westinghouse about sending us a good battery. Hopefully they will. The noise level seemed average for generators. I understand we should have tested it right after we got it, but a battery shouldn't go bad in less than 6 months.

Great Generator at a Great Prime Day Price!
I just received this generator today so not much to say yet. This will power key circuits in my house when the power goes out. Setting it up by the instructions was simple and on the first try it started. I tested a 30amp load and it powered them with ease. Noise really isn't any different than other big generators. I love the remote start and the trickle power supply for the battery, which both work flawlessly. The only negative is the foam on the handle was already coming apart. Not really worried about it as long as this generator powers my house during outages for years to come.

Home backup during power outage
This is a great generator! It powered my entire house during an ice storm when the power went out in the entire city. I was able to do everything I needed at home and was very comfortable. Easy to operate and ran without any issues.

Excellent User Friendly Generator
This generator is incredibly user friendly. From the ease of assembly, all the way through the ease of operation with the push start and dual fuel features. The remote start and stop feature is an extra bonus that adds to the user friendliness. I highly recommend this generator.

I think this was a good buy
assembled from un-pack to start in less than 45 minutes. needed 15 yr old's muscle to wrangle it. It's a beast for sure. not as loud as I thought-but only ran it for 30-40 minutes on propane. I purchased this on Amazon from Quality Electronics-fast, accurate and helpful on inquiries
