Sawyer Products Premium Permethrin Insect Repellent for Clothing, Gear & Tents

I walk a Black Lab in the local hills and it often picks up ticks. The Lab has a vets injection every season and you can see the ticks climbing out of it's coat as it has a yearly Tic injection.. but that does NOT help me. I looked for a suitable spray I could apply to my clothing to detter ticks but none worked. Afriend told me about SawyersPermthrin but I couldnt find any in the UK so I emailed Amazon and surprisingly got through to a manger and she was surprised it wasnt retailed in the UK. I explained the UK issue with ticks and sent me a pair of Sawyers Permethrin and also added it to the availability list for Amazon UK. It is BRILLIANT. I see tics emerge from the Black labs coat as it has the vets injection and since spraying my hiking outer clothes I have never got a tick. Extreamly effective. Now available Via Amazon UK. complete waste of money.. mosquitoes were just hanging around the surfaces i sprayed as if there was nothing

We spray our boots and clothes with this before we head out to our tick-infested woods, and while it doesn’t prevent 100%, it has really made a dent in the number of ticks we find on ourselves afterwards! Adding off! deep woods spray directly to the skin on our legs and arms, along with this product on our clothes works especially well; whereas we used to find 15-20 ticks on us when we came in, now we find maybe 1-3.

I spray my "farm" cloths, hats and shoes with this stuff, and it keeps the ticks off! OR, in the rare events when one or two get on me, I find them neither moving nor attached, but DEAD! Happy with a good product ! READ THE DIRECTIONS and it should work for you too.....

0.5% not bad for an aerosol can. Decent performance. But I’ll be buying a “mix it yourself” and a spray bottle in the future though. This will not be a repeat buy.

I can't recommend this product enough for helping with ticks while outdoors! Use this product on your clothes (not your skin). Spray it so it soaks the garment, let it dry outside for a few hours, and you are good to go. Don't spray indoors or let your pets be exposed to the wet permethrin (it's safe for pets once it dries!) For your skin I recommend picaridin for both ticks and mosquitoes! I think it works better than deet and won't leave your skin oily and gross like deet does. I just finished treating my clothes just now and one bottle treated 2pairs of leggings, one pair of biker shorts, two work out tops, two pairs of socks and a large hoodie (there's still a little left too!) so you can treat quite a bit with just one bottle, and this comes with two. I usually treat my clothes once in the spring and once like mid July, so usually two bottles lasts the summer.
