Altec Lansing IMW478s Mini LifeJacket 3 Bluetooth Speaker (Royal Blue)

This speaker is AMAZING. It’s so loud and you don’t have to turn it up very much to hear what you’re playing. The bass is really great, too. It’s durable and good for road trips, boating, going to the beach, playing music in the bathroom, and pretty much anywhere else! I used this to play music while hosting Thanksgiving and it was loud enough for us in the kitchen and everyone in the dining room. I would love to get this as a gift, so definitely buy one for anyone in your life who could use a speaker!

Great speaker! My last Mini Lifejacket 2 last 3 years, and only broke because I threw it 25 feet up in the air into water, which made it sink (I'm guessing it took on water). Under normal conditions it does float, which is a huge plus! Unless you're an audiophile the sound is of great quality. It's loud and the battery is strong.

The sound is absolutely great. It is better than some larger speaker. It is rechargeable. It seems to last a long time. I did have some problem at first getting it to connect with the computer. There is a trick to getting it to pair the first rime.

It does take a while to fully charge, but the charge lasts for a while too, so it balances out. Sounds fine to me and I like that I can actually use it to charge other devices. Waterproof works fine, dunked it in the pool a couple of times to try it out with no problems. UPDATE: This works really well with music and podcasts, but I've had a lot of issues with Audiobooks. What happens is that during the book the speaker will miss the first word of a sentence, paragraph, or chapter. Now this doesn't happen with all audiobooks and I've checked the same audiobooks with different bluetooth speakers and I don't get the problem. So I'm 90% sure it's the speaker. I've contacted customer support about it and they were very helpful. They offered to replace my speaker, so I sent it off postage free, which was cool of them, and they even sent me a newer model. On the downside it took a month to get the speaker back, and the new speaker has the same issue as the old one. One step further, while waiting for my return shipment I went to the store and bought a second speaker to use, because I listen all day at work and while driving. I started a new dialog with support, fully explaining what was happening as well as telling them several audiobooks that play with no issues and several that having the skipping problem. They once again said they would switch out the speaker again, but so far I haven't took them up on it because of that month of not having a speaker...and since that didn't fix the problem last time I don't want to just keep returning speakers constantly. Long story short, if you are looking for Music and Podcast you should have no problem, but if you listen to a lot of Audible, it can get very frustrating. Great speaker. Very good quality sound as long as you don't turn the volume up all the way. Speaking of volume if I turn my phone volume up to about halfway it gets pretty loud, so it doesn't take a lot to make the speaker loud.

This speaker is not very loud and the company is terrible at customer service. A few months after purchasing this item, the speaker started making a type of popping noise. The battery takes about 2 days to charge and dies within four to six hours. When I ordered this item, I bought the four year extended warranty. The company refuses to refund me. Save yourself the trouble and get something better! I recommend buying the 808 lxs speaker. It is about the same price, but it is MUCH louder and has better quality.

Honestly the best speaker I’ve had. Usually I buy 20$ cheap speakers from walmart, but I decided to spend a bit more this time. It was totally worth it! The sound quality is amazing and the thing is a brick!

This is the best little speaker!! We use it constantly at my house..... inside, outside.....and the range is huge. The device doesn't have to stay right next to the speaker to work. It gets very loud. I love that it's waterproof also! Super easy to use and the batter lasts a very long time as well. If you are looking for a good quality portable speaker, this is definitely a good choice!

This is the second one I purchased. I found the first one to have a lot better and clearer sound. So maybe I just got a lemon I don’t know. But we love taking them out on the paddleboard’s and to the beach

Product is quite good but the worst customer service... My speaker has gone dead after 6months and am unable to contact any of the customer care numbers. Nobody even replies to emails. I would not recommend Indians buying altec Lansing as similar products are available with JBL with at least a good customer service
