I bought these to hang a zebra shade. I’ve worked with strong magnets before, I followed the directions how to separate them. But the problem was I opened them up on a granite counter which is slippery ; they drew near each other and snapped in half! My fault. I should know better than to use on a slippery surface. I recommend you set these magnets really far apart on maybe a towel or a cloth surface when you’re working with them. Because I broke a couple of them —I have to order another pack to hang my blinds. As long as the adhesive holds these blinds will stay up. I’ve already tested it so they’re very strong magnets. I probably would’ve done better with round magnets but I like the shape of these and they fit on the back of the blinds perfectly. I recommend them but be careful with them because they can crack

Do not get your fingers pinched

The magnets are very strong, but very fragile. You cannot allow them to slam together. 1 star for adhesion. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't allow me to specify *what* is adhering badly. It's not the magnets at issue, it's the double-sided tape (AKA the only reason I bought this specific product). The double-sided tape that comes with these is WILDLY inconsistent. Some adheres like iron+superglue+the pull of 1000 black holes. Some adheres like a Post-It Note. If you buy these magnets for the double-sided sticky tape, you will be sorely disappointed. I recommend the magnets coupled with Superglue.

I like that these bar magnets come with two-sided adhesive tape. These are very strong and narrow bar magnets. If you put two of them together, they are not easily separated. I am using these magnets with my door and window sensors for my alarm system. The frames around my doors will not allow the normal door sensors magnets, they are way too large. These bar magnets are just the right size to fit on the trim around my doors and window and work flawlessly with the door/window sensor transmitters that are mounted on the door or window. With the adhesive tape, I attached a magnet to the door frame, lining it up with the door sensor. If fits perfectly and being so small, it is not that noticeable, I did the same with the windows sensors. For me these are great. And you get a lot of magnets for your money.

These are super strong magnets. I used them to attach a wooden window blind cornice to the metal wood blind harness at the top of the blind. Worked really well. A family friend was over. He is an electrician by trade. He actually ran this magnet along the wall and was able to locate the nails in the studs inside the walls! That's how powerful these magnets are. One issue I do have with these magnets is that they are very fragile. If you drop one....forget about it. It's broken. Unless you need tiny pieces of magnets for something...if not in the trash it goes. I still would recommend them. Like I said. It's good quality. The best magnets you can buy. I ordered these to try some different styles with magnetic nail polish. I have used neodymium magnets before, but wanted this rectangular style. 1. First noticed that they did not feel as strong as my other magnets, but I chalked it up to the shape being easier to grab so I thought that must have been why they were easier to separate. They stuck to my fridge and to each other. HOWEVER, I really noticed the weakness of them when trying to use them with my magnetic polish. They were mostly useless. With my other magnets, I can see the particles moving from a fair distance away, but with these I had to get surprisingly close to get any effect. Closer than I should need to for "super strong" magnets. 2. The magnetic force is wrong somehow. I don't know how to explain it, but when they do move the nail polish, it is not in the way it should. I have tried flipping and using every edge and surface, and it is not at all predictable. They do not behave the way my other magnets do, which is incredibly frustrating and I have wasted several hours before going back to my other magnets. 3. FRAGILE. I have worked with many neodymium magnets before, from model making to now nails. I've definitely put them through their paces and been rough with them in the past. I've never broken a magnet. Maybe it's the rectangular shape, maybe it's this brand, but on my second time using them (gentle use) I set them down on my table and when I looked at them again, one of the magnets had broken into three pieces. I don't understand how, when I have not been rough with them. I cannot recommend these at all. Terrible.

The magnet is ok , however, the 3m glue is not strong enough, fall down after several days.
