The Jesus Bible NIV Edition

Definitely recommend this Bible, easy to read, very nice margins….With the focus through out on Jesus….I would buy again…

This is my 5th personal bible to walk into. I had been in search of one that had larger text, thicker paper, and margins for study notes or doodling. However, this bible does not have thick paper (but it is quality), nor does it have larger print. I read the reviews before purchasing it, and realized that right away. I have started reading through it and am in love with how each book of the bible is directed to the characteristics of Jesus. Literally, each book has a page before it that says, "Jesus.... our _________" where the next page starts the book with a thorough explanation of when the book was written, why, who wrote it, and what you will find in the book. In the pages of each book, there are side notes for certain scriptures that help you understand them. And of course, the articles from the authors are AWESOME!!! I am using my prismacolors to highlight instead of actually highlighters (as I do not want them to bleed through) and have my book-tabs to help me better navigate the bible, and have already found a lot of additional help with studying the different books of the bible, from the helpful notes and introductions that this bible provides. I highly recommend it for anyone who is trying to walk back through the bible and see things in a new way, or for Christians who are looking for some extra bang in their reading. So, I found out about this Bible while I was in Basic, and I love that it has little devotionals along the sides of the verses. For instance, I can read about the creation of man in Genesis, and if I feel so inclined right along the sides of the chapters there are devotionals and they provide a little bit of a different perspective on things for you to consider. I'm not a saint unfortunately, and so I haven't spent a great deal of time in the book, but it seems to be of good quality, heavy duty, and could probably teach about 20 different book front to back before it gave up the ghost so to speak.

This Jesus Bible includes short commentaries on the chapters and verses helping to understand them better. The book is published by Zondervan and the scriptures are from the New International Version of the bible. The whole book is thick and a little heavy to hold, but contains a wealth of information regarding the scriptures. My wife and I read from it every morning for our devotions together. I recommend the Jesus Bible

I was wary of purchasing this Bible as it does contain commentary from several different authors/theologians. Sometimes that can lead to more opinionated dialogue than truthful learning, but so far I have found it very good! It is set up well and i believe it could be understood by the younger Christian seeking a higher understanding, but it is also written intellectually enough for the nature Christian to gain wisdom. Just watch for those comments that are more opinion than fact.

This bible is SO much more than I expected! I have attempted reading the entire bible so many times and have NEVER been able to get through Genesis. This bible made reading Genesis and other Old Testament books so fun and easy with all of the side notes and walk through a it gives you! I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS BIBLE FOR ANYONE AND EVERYONE no matter your goals for getting it. This bible puts a whole new perspective on all the stories and ties everything back to Jesus! It's so amazing and beautifully written!

I first learned of this Bible on TBN. Lou Giglio was doing an interview with the Crouches explaining its inception. I was intrigued and knew I had to get one for myself. It's the first NIV translation that I've purchased. I have read books on how to see Yeshua (Jesus) in every book, but this helps to make it plain. I enjoy the writings by Christian authors/pastors and the side bars on almost every page. It's a very good study Bible and I'm very pleased with my purchase.
