This perch was easy to assemble with a Philips-head screwdriver. It is small, but perfect for newly hatched chicks and poults. We have two poults and this roost is perfect for them in their small brooder space. I am giving this 4 stars because, while it is useful, the babies will outgrow this very soon. I also don't think this will be all that easy to clean, but we will see. The price is slightly higher than I would like to pay...but if this lasts for many uses...it will be well worth the money spent. I am finding this perfect for our turkey poults.

Our two week old chicks love this simple to assemble product. They sometimes lay underneath and sometimes perch on top.Our large cage is getting a bit cramped as they grow so rapidly, thus the two pack was an excellent option so they aren't all cramped in one area of the brooder.I move their items around every other day or so to keep them entertained and the small footprint of these perches work perfectly in our setup for that purpose.

****This is deceptively MUCH SMALLER than the photos leads buyers to believe. It barely holds 1 chick at a time since the perch is covered with 1-day old chicks in the pictures. Comes unassembled. Was predrilled, but v poorly. Sturdy—once assembled. Chicks like it but fight over it so I had to take it away. I would build my own for 1/4 the price, less wait and better because it would fit the entire flock. Comes in a very tiny envelope for cheaper shipping costs but definitely NOT worth the money. I feel ripped off but can’t be bothered to take it apart, re-ship and send back. This would fit a few parakeets or a pair of cockatiels but they’d never sit this low. I Do not recommend for chicken chicks past 1st week of age.

Exactly what I wanted to entertain my chicks! I bought the set of 2 for my separate flocks. It comes with the screws needed for assembly and took 5 mins to put together with a screw driver. Very sturdy and well built. And it arrived in 2 days (earlier than expected).

This little perch is just the right size for the new members to our flock. It went together so easily and seems to be sturdy. It fits down in the brooder box without taking up too much room. There is room for the warmer, feeder, water and this perch all in one bin.
